Last night we had our wonderful local dental team join us for their summer evening out, so we decided to surprise them with a cocktail made especially for the occasion - the Toothtastic Spritz!

A base of rosé prosecco and elderflower liqueur, topped with tonic and, of course… teeth! 🦷✨

If you’re visiting Capilla with a large party, have a chat with us beforehand about creating a custom drink just for you and your group. Whether it’s a work night out, birthday, celebration or just an excuse to get everyone together, we’re always happy to pull something fun together! 🍸

We're looking for an experienced, reliable, and enthusiastic Front of House Team Member to join our busy café and tapas bar in Scrabster full-time. If you're passionate about delivering excellent customer service, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and love being part of a close-knit team, we'd love to hear from you!

Our ideal candidate has a minimum of 2 years of experience working in hospitality under their belt but, we will make sure you also receive full front of house training and professional barista training to give you that extra boost to succeed in this role with us.

We are offering:

· Competitive pay dependent on experience.
· 28 days paid holiday (including bank holidays, pro rata if applicable).
· Minimum 2 days off each week.
· Full front of house training.
· Professional barista training.
· Supportive and friendly working environment with opportunities for career development.

As a Front of House Team Member, your duties will include:

· Greeting customers with a warm and friendly attitude & guiding them to a table.
· Providing exceptional customer service at all times.
· Answering the phone and making booking reservations with Resdiary.
· Taking customer orders accurately using our SumUp POS system.
· Serving food and drinks efficiently.
· Preparing and serving high-quality coffees and hot beverages (full training provided).
· Assisting with alcoholic drinks service where required. Cocktail experience preferable but full training will be given.
· Delivering food and drinks to tables.
· Handling customer payments and cash/card transactions.
· Maintaining excellent cleanliness throughout the café, bar and toilets.
· Cleaning tables, floors, equipment, and customer areas.
· Washing up and keeping the kitchen and service areas organised.
· Restocking food, drinks, and supplies neatly and efficiently.
· Assisting with opening and closing procedures.
· Following food hygiene, health & safety, and licensing regulations.
· Working closely with the kitchen and wider team to ensure smooth service.
· Helping create a welcoming atmosphere that encourages customers to return.
· Taking ownership of customer issues.

Our ideal candidate will be:

· Friendly, approachable, and confident with all manner of customers.
· Reliable, punctual, and hard-working.
· Able to work efficiently in a busy environment.
· A strong team player with a positive attitude.
· Well presented with excellent communication skills.
· Flexible to work weekdays, evenings, and weekends as required.
· Previous hospitality experience is essential.
· Experience with SumUp and Resdiary preferable but full training given

Happy Harbour Day weekend folks! 🚢

At Capilla, our incredible team have been incredibly busy this week, sourcing you the freshest of local produce to celebrate this weekend with the Scrabster Harbour Trust and, on our tapas specials this weekend, we have these beautiful fresh Scrabster crab and lemon toasts 🤤 Just when we think Lewis, Briana and Hugh can’t surprise us with their talents, they blow us out of the water with specials like these! 🤩

These will be available while stocks last, though we expect them to go quickly as we have a limited amount of beautiful fresh crab! 🦀

Please pop down at any point this weekend to try and get your hands on the freshest produce that you can get to support our local suppliers 💙
