What a weekend, Thurso!

A massive, heartfelt thank you to everyone who came out to support Taco East at the Thurso Gala. From the moment we popped open the hatch until the very last order went out, the turnout was absolutely incredible.

​We were kept completely on our feet from start to finish. Having a non-stop queue of hungry faces, incredible energy, and proper community spirit kept us buzzing the entire time. Seeing so many familiar locals alongside plenty of new faces made all the hard work, late-night prep, and sore feet entirely worth it.

​A huge shoutout as well to the Thurso Gala committee, volunteers, and organizers who put so much effort into making the event such a fantastic success. Bringing the community together like this takes an immense amount of work, and we were so proud to be a part of it.

🐶 DOG SHOW – £100 Prize Money
Our Dog Show will be judged by Taylor Made Pet Services 🐾
👶 BABY SHOW – £100 Prize Money
👑 FANCY DRESS COMPETITION – £100 Prize Money

All three competitions start at 4PM, so get your dogs, little ones and fancy dress outfits ready! ⭐
And there’s loads happening throughout the day:
🎵 12PM – Gala opens with the Pipe Band
👑 1PM – Gala Queen & Court
⭐ 1:30PM – Displays
🎺 2:30PM – Brass Band
⭐ 3PM – More displays
🏆 4PM – Dog Show, Baby Show & Fancy Dress Competition

🚗 Parking is available at Thurso Lorry Park and on the grass at Sir Archibald Road – please follow the event signage.
🎸 And the fun doesn’t finish at 5pm! The Robbie Pie Band will be playing at The Legion, with doors opening at 8:30pm – over 18s only.

🌮 NEXT STOP: THURSO GALA FUN DAY! 🌮

​Thurso, we are heading to The Dammies on Saturday, 29th August for a full afternoon of delicious street food and gala celebrations!

​We’ll be parked up and serving all your Taco East favourites from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

​The event and all entertainment are completely FREE, so bring the whole family along to enjoy the inflatables, pipe band, petting zoo, vintage cars, bucking bronco, and local stalls.
