All served with crispy roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables, homemade Yorkshire puddings, rich homemade gravy and all the traditional trimmings!

A little reminder for anyone joining us on Sunday lunchtime: our carvery is the only main menu available from 12pm–3pm, alongside our children’s menu. Pizzas, including children’s pizzas, are not available during Sunday lunch.

🎄 Our Christmas Menu 2026 is here! 🎄

We know it’s only October, but Christmas will be here before we know it, and we’re excited to share this year’s festive menu at the Buccleuch & Queensberry Arms Hotel.

Our Christmas Menu will be available from 1st December through to Christmas Eve, running alongside our new main menu, which we’re aiming to launch from 16th October.

Enjoy 2 courses for £24.95 or 3 courses for £32.95 per person, with a lovely selection of festive favourites to choose from.

Whether you’re planning a Christmas catch-up with friends, a family get-together, a work Christmas meal or just fancy treating yourself during December, we’d love to welcome you.

Today we say a very fond farewell to Ralph as he drives away from the Buccleuch & Queensberry Arms for the final time. ❤️

Thank you Ralph for everything he has given to the BQA over the years. Your non stop hard work, dedication and support have meant a great deal not only to the hotel and everyone who has worked alongside you, but also to the wider Thornhill community. ☺️

While we’re very sorry to see such a big part of our story go, we wish him nothing but happiness and success as he begins the next chapter of his career and, we also start ours.

Take very good care Ralph, and very best wishes for the future from all of us at the BQA. 🥂

We’re looking for friendly, hardworking team members who take pride in providing great service and helping create a welcoming experience for our guests.

The hotel can be a busy, fast-paced and high-pressure environment, particularly during peak times, so we’re looking for people who enjoy working as part of a team, can stay positive when things get busy, and are happy to get stuck in. No two days are the same, and that’s all part of the fun of hospitality!
