USE US OR LOSE US
Over the last few months, Thirsk has lost a number of independent businesses, and every time we see another one close its doors, it really hits home just how difficult things are for small businesses right now.
The high street is changing. Independent businesses are disappearing, and once they're gone, they're incredibly difficult to replace.
So we want to be open with you.
If you want independent businesses like Manor Italia to remain part of Thirsk, we need you to use us.
It's as simple as that.
We can have thousands of followers on social media. We can receive lovely comments about our food. People can tell us how much they love Manor Italia and how much they want to see independent businesses succeed.
And we appreciate every single one of those things.
But ultimately, a small business can only survive if people use it.
Like every independent business, the cost of keeping Manor Italia going has increased enormously. Ingredients, energy, wages, stock, insurance and all the other costs that people don't necessarily see behind the scenes continue to rise.
We know we're not alone in that, either.
Everyone is feeling the pressure. Household bills have increased and people quite rightly have to make choices about where they spend their money.
But there's an uncomfortable truth that we think needs saying:
If we don't use the independent businesses we say we want in our town, eventually they won't be here.
And we don't want Manor Italia to become another business people talk about after it's gone.
We don't want to hear, โWe loved that place,โ or โIt's such a shame it's gone,โ when it's too late to make a difference.
We want to be here.
We want Manor Italia to have a future in Thirsk.
We want to keep making the food we're passionate about, employing local people, buying from suppliers, paying our bills and continuing to build a business that Thirsk can be proud to call its own.
But we can't do that without customers.
Every order genuinely counts.
Not metaphorically. Not as a nice slogan for social media.
It counts.
When you choose Manor Italia, that money goes back into keeping an independent business alive.
It helps pay a wage.
It helps pay a supplier.
It helps pay an energy bill.
It helps us buy the next week's ingredients.
And ultimately, it helps make sure Manor Italia is still here for you to choose next time.
We're not asking anyone to spend money they don't have, and we're certainly not asking people to support us out of sympathy.
We're asking that, if you enjoy what we do and you want Manor Italia to have a future, please choose us when you can.
Don't wait until another independent business disappears before realising how important it was to the town.
This applies to us, but it applies to so many other small businesses around Thirsk too.
A town full of thriving independent businesses doesn't happen because people say they support local.
It happens because people actually support
We believe in Manor Italia.
We're proud of what we've built, we're passionate about what we do and we want to continue doing it for many years to come.
But whether small independent businesses survive ultimately comes down to whether there are enough customers choosing to use them.
So if you've been thinking, โWe haven't had a Manor Italia for ages,โmake this the week you do.
If you love our food, tell somebody about us.
If you've enjoyed an order, leave us a review.
If you see one of our posts, give it a share.
And if you're deciding what to have for dinner and you want to see Manor Italia remain part of Thirsk...
Choose local. Choose independent. Choose Manor Italia.
To every single person who already supports us, whether you're a regular customer or you order from us occasionally, thank you.
You are the reason we're able to keep doing what we love, and we will never take that support for granted.
USE US. SUPPORT US. HELP US STAY.
Because we'd much rather tell you how much your support means now than have people tell us how much Manor Italia meant to them when it's too late.

Proudly independent. Proudly part of Thirsk.
