We serve a great selection of real ales, as featured in the Good Beer Guide and delicious home-cooked food. Vince and Leon believe the community of the picturesque village of Thaxted deserve more from their local pub and it’s their job to give you just that. They're committed to seeking out the very best quality local (where possible) ingredients at prices that are honest and fair. They aim to be

a real part of the local community and would be proud to help fund raise for local charities and can offer a function area free of charge to locals and groups.

🍽️ POT WASH / KITCHEN ASSISTANT WANTED 🍽️
We’re looking for someone reliable, hardworking and cheerful to join our friendly team at The Maypole, Thaxted.
The role will mainly involve pot washing, washing up and helping to keep the kitchen clean, tidy and running smoothly. It can get busy, so we need someone who’s happy to muck in, work as part of a team and keep smiling when the plates start piling up! 😄

If you’re dependable, not afraid of a bit of hard work and fancy joining the Maypole team, we’d love to hear from you!
