The Hobnails Inn is a 15th century character Inn located in Little Washbourne, near Tewkesbury. It was originally built in 1280 and then opened to the public in 1473 as a public house. It is suggested that the name 'Hobnails' came from the Tewkesbury Nail Making Industry as a Hobnail is a short nail with a thick head used to increase the durability of boot shoes.
