Unfortunately, due to circumstances outside of our control, we won’t be holding Oktoberfest at the Black Bear this year.

There are some difficulties behind the scenes that we’re working hard to resolve. We’ll share more details when the time is right, and there may well be an opportunity for those who love and support the Bear to help us along the way.

In the meantime, we’re looking ahead to the remainder of the year, with events including Halloween, Loy Krathong 🇹🇭, Christmas and New Year’s Eve, as well as a full calendar of events throughout the festive period. 🎄🍻

Thank you all, as always, for your continued support.

See you in the Bear soon. 🐻

With England playing on Wednesday evening, we just wanted to let everyone know how entry to The Black Bear will work.
We’ll be operating a wristband system for anyone under 18. Children are very welcome, but they must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
If the pub and garden reach capacity, we’ll be operating a one in, one out system. If you’re planning to come with friends or family, we’d encourage you to arrive early and together if possible to avoid being split up.
There will be no tickets and no entry charge.
Above all, The Black Bear is a family pub, and we want it to be at the heart of the community while remaining accessible to everyone. Football is one of those rare occasions where the whole town and country come together behind the same team, and we’re proud to provide a place where people can enjoy those moments together.
We’ve been working closely with the local police and licensing authority to make sure Wednesday is as safe and enjoyable as possible.
Come on England! 🏆🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🐻

We’ll be open for the England game at 1:00am on Monday.
This match will be shown inside the pub only, so numbers will be limited and entry will be on a first come, first served basis.
All subsequent England matches will be shown on the outdoor screen.
Thank you all for your continued support. Come on England! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 🐻
