It's taken me a while to write this post but the time has come to face up to the reality that The Grind will no longer exist as a business.
Unfortunately for us we opened at the worst possible time to start a business in the hospitality sector with covid being such an unprecedented scenario in recent times.
This last year or so has heaped an unimaginable amount of pressure on us as a business and us as a family. It's something that nobody could have envisaged before taking the leap like we did...
Hopefully someday someone will be held accountable for the misery these relentless covid restrictions have heaped on the working class across the UK and beyond.
I just want to thank all those loyal customers that built up a bond with us whilst regularly visiting us in The Grind from the bottom of our hearts. We have made some great friends that would never have came in to our lives otherwise.
I really want to thank all those that helped me get the shop to the standard it is from the dump it was, that will never be forgotten.
I also want to put a special thank you out to Gemma, she worked so hard to make things the best we could in such trying times, specially when we couldn't afford any other staff. Her hard work and friendly personality made The Grind what it was.
It's a sad reality when everything you've worked for falls apart around you, but this isn't the end of the road... I always have a plan or 2 up my sleeve.
I look forward to the next couple of weeks when I introduce you to a totally new concept for Tenby and the surrounding areas.
The new venture will be producing some of the best food about as usual. But this time with a twist.
I will look to use this page with the new business name as soon as everything is in place. I hope to see you all give the same support to the new venture when the time comes. Its always appreciated.
Thanks for taking the time to read this and to have visited whilst we were open, it meant the world to us.
Onward and upward as they say. Til the next time 🤟🏼
