Today marks a week since we shut our doors to protect our little town, family and friends 🙌

We're reminiscing today with these snaps from .lowe_ and most definitely missing our customers!

We can't wait to have you all here again, for those lazy brunches, strong coffee and smell of fresh baked bread ❤👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

"With a heavy heart, and a tear in my eye, I'm closing my Arch Kitchen this morning.

Since the PMs announcement, I have been adhering to all government advice and only offering takeaway on a strict phone order basis, however I feel after the weekend, this is also not safe or responsible!

I want to safe guard our little town, Tenby, and my close friends and family. The only way to do this is to actively encourage you all to social distancing and staying at home.

I have worked hard in our kitchen over the weekend to cook our school dinner menu, all at extra cost to me personally... but feel it's irresponsible of me to be encouraging parents here to buy takeaway food. I have cleaned and cleaned and cleaned everything, but cannot guarantee an infected customer may have touched a rail outside... and in turn passing on to others.

The business man in me tells me to take advantage of this time, but no money can ever replace the guilt of spreading this virus.

I love Tenby, I love my customers and I hope when this all goes away, we can rebuild our little town with the finest breakfasts, brunches, lunches and dinners in the country!

Please all be safe, this is by no means goodbye... It's, I can't bloody wait to see you all soon!

Last day at school for the vast majority of our local children

We're trying our best to ease the pressure on Mum and Dad, so have introduced our School Dinner pick up service as of Monday next week

This service is at a cost to us, but we feel it's something our community needs and for the time being, something we can support you all with!

We are cooking everything from scratch daily and ram packing our dishes with immune boosting veggies

A MESSAGE FROM OUR DIRECTOR

Over the last few days I’ve been wondering, what to say on behalf of our Arch Kitchen, with regards to covid 19.
After our PMs speech last night, I’ve taken time to find some words and try and explain to you all how this affects Arch Kitchen

As you know we are a small independent restaurant, still in the first 6 months of opening. I naturally apply the highest standards of hygiene and will continue to do so more vigilantly in the next coming weeks. It is in my best interest personally to do this as I am a type 1 diabetic and classed in the high risk category, so please be rest assured, this isn't taken likely

We are so much more then 7 table and 30 seats, I employ 10+ staff members who's whole livelihood rely on me. Without your trade, we'd be unable to pay the restaurant bills, or our suppliers and in turn their staff too! I cannot put into words how much we all appreciate every single order.
However I fully understand that continued "sit down" support may not be possible for some!

Until I am told categorically told by the government and health organisations to close, I will continue to work my butt off, baking bread, serving brunch and in particular focusing on superfoods and immune boosting takeaway options (As I write this we are working on new Vegan Super Scotch Eggs)

We are offering our entire menu for takeaway 7 days a week and have taken away any expiry dates for our vouchers, especially in light of mother's day this Sunday

To my companions in the hospitality trade, competitors and neighbour's alike... I send my love and best wishes to you all! I'll continue to support you all, recommend you and if needs be help you! We live in the most beautiful town in the world, with the best people, the best ingredients and food... We all have to clump together to survive the 12 month winter on our horizon

I wanted to add that anyone feeling vulnerable in our industry, in a dark place they feel there is no escape, please reach out. Business is very, very stressful and can push people to their limits... We are all in this together, one big family 👨‍🍳👩‍🍳

IT'S OUR 6 MONTH BIRTHDAY 🎉

A massive thank you to our fantastic and loyal customers for supporting this little business... That chose to open in the quietest 6 month period for Tenby trade 😅

Our customer base through this time has been predominantly local and repeat, which is no better compliment to the hardwork our small team of staff!
