💚 G R E E N B E L T 💚

🤯 i'm not even sure I have the words!

From the moment the gates into The Glade opened each morning, until well after my bedtime, you kept us flipping crepes non stop!

🙏I'm so grateful to the organisers and volunteers who do a wonderful job... including pulling us out of the mud as we left the field yesterday...

🌳We shared our pitch with a tree, watched the parched ground turn to mud and listened to wonderful musicians and speakers on the stage while we worked. Flipping crepes to some anthems from my childhood performed by the original artists was really special!

🩷As always it was our customers who made the festival for us... Seeing familiar faces from back up North, families discovering us for the first time who hadn't expected to be able to indulge due to food allergies, the lovely feedback... Thank you so much!

🧑‍🍳A massive thank you from me to team FlipnFast who all put in extra hours to keep up with demand. When things got really busy in the evenings the crepes were absolutely flying out!

We look forward to seeing you all at Greenbelt's new home in 2028 💚💚

Right now it's time for a rest with the hounds until we head back out on Thursday... Anyone would think it was them who'd put in all the graft!!

Next up, yet another of our favourites! So many of you have said you'll be seeing us at Greenbelt Festival and we can't wait!

This year we will be in The Glade which means we'll be closer to the campsite AND we will be opening on Thursday evening 💚💚

As we're close to the campsite we will be serving more breakfast crepes, including the extremely satisfying 'Full English' in a Crepe!

As always our sweet, savoury and breakfast crepes will be:

This weekend's party has started and I have the best view from.the crepe rings!

I've tweaked a couple of the savoury options this weekend... Scroll to see houmous & avocado with carrot, spinach and pink slaw. It's gone down well so far this evening.

Behind the scenes at Rainbow HE Festival... Penny and O'Malley worked super hard! They adore the FlipnFast team 🩷

Ed taught Rainbow 🌈 crew Reece and Amber how to make crepes... Reece's first attempt was perfect!

And, as ever, the dogs made friends with many of the festival goers!

What a wonderful week everyone had. Well done to the superb Rainbow crew, thank you to the FlipnFast team for all of the hard work; and of course thank you to everyone who visited us for crepes, smoothies, dinners and dog cuddles 🩷💚🐾

We're nearing the end of a busy week at Rainbow HE Events

Lots of crepes, smoothies, burgers & fries have been enjoyed! Tonight's dinner special is the famous Sri Lankan curry. Lasts night's loaded nachos went down a treat!

What a week it's been for everyone here, with many amazing workshops and events for the home ed community. The 🌞 has shone without being tooooo hot and it's great to see the youngsters having so much fun together as always 🌈🌈🌈

After almost two months off the road, I'm delighted to announce that I've just picked up the horsebox and we have the green light to use it again. This news comes with a massive thank you to S B Trailer Services who have made sure that this trailer is now safe and strong 🙏

I'm really sorry to tell you that, as a result of the costs incurred due to the 'professional' 🤠🤡 whose services I'd engaged earlier in the year, I had to make the hard decision to sell the ice cream machine to help fund costs.

So we are back to just being crepes (with occasional smoothies etc of course!). We hadn't even had the chance to sell ice cream from the horsebox, but c'est la vie.

The old girl will still be a bit of a work in progress for a while but is fully functional. At some point we will add some good old Flippin' Fun-omenal eye catching branding 😁😁

Enough waffling from me, time to get packing for Rainbow HE Events 🌈🌈🌈🌈

Here's what the rest of our festival season is looking like... Lots of fun events to come still 😁

🌈 We're busy preparing for the wonderful Rainbow HE Festival... You know every now and then I like to serve more than just crepes. Next week we'll be flipping some burgers too and serving FRIES for the first time ever! 🍟🍔 Alongside plenty of healthy stuff of course!

I'm not sure who will be more tired; the bikers who spent the weekend racing in the Dales, the organisers of ARD ROCK, or us after flipping countless crepes and blending many smoothies from early morning til late at night (plus super market dashes and dogs to walk of course!).

There were some challenges this weekend, the wind was certainly not on our side and we were a bit short staffed which meant long hours and intense days. But we had an absolutely fantastic weekend in such a beautiful setting with happy customers!

Well done to the FlipnFast team, from those who've been flipping for years to those who worked their first festival with us. Absolutely fantastic team! Special mention to Allison who ended up taking charge of the hounds instead of flipping crepes... They had an adventurous weekend making many friends!

Next up we can't wait to see everyone at a very special festival for Home Ed families 🌈🌈

Next up, we're busy getting everything packed to head up North for ARD ROCK, the UK's most epic weekend for those who love to ride their bike! 🚵‍♂️

We will be flipping our usual sweet and savoury crepes, blending up some fresh fruit smoothies and banging out breakfast specials from early doors.

This Friday-Sunday in beautiful Swaledale.

100% vegan, gluten free and nut free.

Sweet crepes do not have to mean sugar or unhealthy. So many people say to me 'I'm being good today'. Well, firstly, it's all about balancing the nutritious stuff with the occasional indulgent treat. But also, a sweet crepe can be packed full of wholesome nutrients.

Here are a couple of this weekend's 'Feel Good Flavours'.

1. Peaches and strawberries with mixed seeds and coconut yogurt. Finished off with an optional drizzle of maple syrup.

2. Fruit Medley, again finished off with a drizzle of maple syrup

Fruit and seeds are packed with essential nutrients. And in this heat, a fruity crepe is contributing to keeping you hydrated too!

Add to that they're absolutely delicious 🩷💚🩷
