It was nice to meet the chef and his family , with some fantastic dishes to raise money for the awful disaster in Nepal !
We will be doing another food night , to promote this tasty food .

We were so lucky to be nominated to the bbc make a difference award , where we find out next month the winner . We are lucky enough to have been shortlisted to the final 4 for making a difference and raising awareness for diabetes and DKA , and getting DKA strips on ambulances ! When I say “we” did this , I mean me (Kelly) , Peyton , Tamsin , Lesley , with the platform we had (the pub ) , but “we” actually means the community, Woodside . The customers , all our families , all of niks family , tinny , Lucy , Jenna , all the people collecting prizes , donating prizes , companies and businesses , it was amazing . Thank you all . For the support , the love , raising awareness and funds , for DKA , for diabetes , for Nik and for the family and friends . Love kel and family x

Niks story and our community efforts to make a difference to DKA testing , will be on midlands today at 6.30pm

We will be forever grateful for all the support and love you all have shown in supporting our fundraising to improve ambulance care throughout DKA . This cause was incredibly close to all our hearts because of Nik. The money each and everyone of you helped to raise was so important , but the awareness and the changes that were made due to this particular campaign , have helped to save lives , and that’s where you helped make a difference .

Big thank you once again to everyone that supported us , and shown love to Phil and lesley and all their family , and continue to do so

Nik Russell, 32, died from diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) at his home in Telford in 2022.
