Saturday just gone it was 6 months since my last day on the van.. I was very sad to have to give it up...i wouldn't have spent 15 grand on my new van to be kitted out just to jack it in... Just over a year later... But wickes didn't help.. Had a new manger who moved me after 6 years and didn't help in any way at all.. They had a re fit and after that people just didn't seem to go but that is gone.... I have now had a job for 6 months this Tuesday coming and while some of the time it's been hard to work for someone it's a wage and yes I get holidays.. 10 years on the van and 6 years on wickes... Would have loved to have grown.. Maybe got a cafe or something but wasn't to be... The van is still for sale and this will probably be the last few weeks of this page... No point really... Thanks again for all your support I do miss the regulars and being on the van.. But time moves on thanks again

I have had a few people asking if im open

Sorry im no longer running the van from wickes
I have finished and found a job the pays a wage and gives me holidays

If anyone would like to buy the van and pitch please get in touch

Had a great 6 years till wickes had a refit and i was moved and all my signs taken down
Then this year well a guy has bills to pay and as i wasnt been able to run the business how i would have liked i couldnt grow it
Sorry to all those would have become friends over the years
3 years over in shrewsbury and over 6 at wickes

As i said i opened up at wickes on the very first day if wickes trading ...saturday 5th march 2011

With a trailer which i kept till may of last year when i had a flat bed van which i had a box put on and turned into the new Al' s kitchen

It was meant to be a new start which would help the business grow as it would be easier to get about to shows etc

That didnt really happen and seems i spent lots of time and effort for nothing

I started Al's kitchen while still working on the post as a postman

That was in 2005 in the old spencers indoor market which is now wilko's

Starting work at 4.15am then going in the deli at 2 till 5

After leaving the post in 2007 i then brought my trailer and would travel to shrewsbury on the a49

I did that for 3 years till wickes opened on saturday march 5th 2011

Where i have been since...6 and a half years
