Tabitha’s We sell Breakfast, lunch, snacks, desserts. We sell many homemade & 'slimming' friendly meals with a selection of veggie and gluten free options.

Our food stops at 2.30pm each day and hot drinks stop at 2.45pm. We are a small family run café. Being from Newport ourselves our aim is to support small local businesses within the community. Great quality, low prices. Cash and card payments accepted.

Well that’s it now. The keys have been handed back.

You may have noticed that Tabitha’s sign came down on Sunday and has since been replaced.

Please pop down and support Ilhan and Elmaz the new tenants. They are a lovely couple and really looking forward to meeting you all.

They are keeping on the staff so there will be some familiar faces for you all. The menu is pretty much staying the same but with a few extra items on for you to try.

They have been in today decorating. I personally can’t wait to pop in and give it a try. When I’m not working up at Norbury that is. Hopefully I will still see a few familiar faces on a Tuesday and Wednesday while I’m up here in the tea room.

Well that’s it. The end of an era. The doors have closed one last time on all my wonderful customers. I can’t thank you all enough for your love and support over the past 8.5 years. I definitely couldn’t have done it without you.

All of the prezzies and cards I’ve received over the last few days have been overwhelming to say the least.

Also a massive thank you to all my fabulous staff, past and present. You know who you are. You have all helped me realise a dream and helped me build up a cafe my nan (Tabitha’s) would have been proud of.

Thank you to all of my lovely suppliers too. From Mathews family butchers over the road supplying me with endless amounts of sausage and other lovely meats. To Bens eggs who have been supplying me with amazing eggs over the last few years.

Thank you aswell to Darren my gorgeous hubby and maintenance man and Lauren my beautiful not so little girl, the often unwilling pot washer 😜 They and so many other family members have helped out in so many ways over the years and put up with me when I’ve come home tired, grouchy and smelling of bacon 😂

Don’t worry. You haven’t seen the last of me. I will still be around somewhere. I’ve just taken on a temporary job down at Norbury wharf in the tea room. You will find me down there Tuesdays and Wednesdays starting on the 12th until further notice.

I will be posting next week about what’s happening to 6 stafford street in the future so stay tuned.

So, Thank you everyone from the bottom of my heart. I will miss you all. You have been such a huge part of my life. I will miss you all.

Only 5 days left!!! I can’t believe it’s my last week here at Tabitha’s. 😭😭 I have a box of tissues in the kitchen at the ready don’t worry 😂

I will make sure we have breakfasts available all week right up to the end. I’m running discounts on selected lunch menu items all week (while stocks last)so watch this space.

Starting today (Tuesday) we have 15% off all our Lollypops lunches. Both hot and cold options.

We also have 15% off our root veg soup.

Come on down and say goodbye. It would be lovely to see you all at some point.

St George’s day weekend.

Tomorrow (Saturday 18/4/26) will be the last local event i will be open for. So pleased it’s St George’s day.

Hopefully the weather will be nice for the parade and entertainment in town.

As we are on the last 2 weeks before I close the cafe I’m doing some offers along the way.

Tomorrow we will have 15% off our Lollypops lunches. Toddlers only £4.20 and juniors only £5.30 (while stocks last)

Cold lunches - sandwich (ham,cheese, tuna, jam), jelly, drink, biscuits, crisps and raisins.

Hot lunches - sausage, fish fingers, nuggets all served with peas or beans and chips or garlic bread. And a carton of juice.

Welcome back folks. Hope you’ve all had a fabulous Easter weekend. I managed to fit in a BBQ, Cosford air museum, a family trip to cambers 😂 and obviously a couple of trips to the pub 😬.
I don’t know about you but I need a weekend off to recover from my weekend of 😂

No seriously, we are all refreshed and raring to go and we are open again today from 9.30.

We now have less than 4 weeks until we close Tabitha’s for the last time. Hopefully we will see many of you over the next few weeks.

Don’t worry though. I believe the plan is for the new cafe to open on the following Tuesday after I’ve closed. I will keep you updated when I have more information.

Sorry I couldn’t resist. Thankfully it’s been pretty uneventful today, unlike last year.

Really I just wanted to pop a little post on here and remind all my wonderful customers that from today we are CASH ONLY.

I didn’t think I should post it this morning incase you all thought it was an April fools joke. Its not. I’m just winding things down bit by bit.
