Introducing our new President Neil Wagstaff 🌟
Neil Wagstaff has been elected as the President of the Newport and District Agricultural Society, who are the organisers of the annual show.
A graduate from Harper Adams University, Neil is well known in the local agricultural community from his role with the National Farmers Union and NFU Mutual in Shropshire for the past 33 years.
Speaking about his new role, Neil said:
“I have spent most of my time in the Newport area. We are blessed with such productive and progressive farming businesses, whether involving arable crops, livestock or poultry, Shropshire has it all and I feel privileged to work alongside such great businesses.
Newport Show offers a great opportunity for all members of the rural community to come together and have a great day out. Whether it is the livestock, horses, rural lifestyle, vintage machinery or great food, the show has it all”
