The end to another season for us at River Beach, year 10!
What a summer it’s been, glorious sunny days that just kept coming. The most amazing summer I can remember.

It’s been so busy at The Hut so thank you to all our customers new and old. We have such incredible regulars that we know so well, it makes work fun to see you and chat through out the season. It’s also lovely to get new regulars who find us and keep coming back.

Thank you to my suppliers and the people that work for them who go above and beyond to help keep the Hut stocked and ready for business.

A huge thank you to my team, who are genuinely the best. They get it done every shift, adapt and put the business first. Treating my business it like was their own. I am so lucky to have had such awesome individuals making up what has been a fantastic team. They make the hut what it is and I’ll be eternally grateful for their part in it all.
It’s so much fun working with them which is such a great thing when dealing with what can be a really challenging job.
Thanks Mum and dad for generally saving the day and being there whenever something can’t be fixed!

Thank you to my partner Laura for holding the fort and dealing with the chaos that is me for 6 month season.

It’s been amazing to see all you regulars one last time after what’s been an amazing season and we’re doing it one last time.

We will also have a few specials.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!

For anyone that has been wondering (and asking) I can confirm our last day this season will be Wednesday the 30th of September.

We cannot guarantee a full menu all day but will endeavour to have Cajun and falafel wraps. Fries Halloumi fries, coffee and ice creams.

It’s quite possible we might have some other menu items but it all depends on the preceding days.

(We will be closed on Monday that week!)

GOODBYE CATE.

It’s the last day for a very special member of The Blue Hut team. Cate who all of you will know has worked at the hut for 9 years!! She is and has been so important to the starting, growth and success of my business. One of the hardest working people you could ever hope to have with you. Like having two people working, if she’s on shift you always knew it will be fine.
I honestly am so grateful to her for how she approached work at my business like it is her own. She really works so hard it will be impossible to replace but I am very lucky to have had her as a part of the team for so long. I’m sure all the staff who have worked along side her will agree that she’s a pleasure to work with.
She’s seen the hut come from a strength to strength and has been central to that growth.
It seems odd writing this as Cate always comes back! But I think maybe not this time, so thank you scary Cate. You are a formidable woman who is bench mark in my eyes for hard work and what can be done. All though it’s a very difficult mark to hit.
I know I’ll see you and we will plan a leaving do but it makes me very sad to think you’re leaving. Cheers mate.
