The Harbour Cafe is a community enterprise run for the benefit of the community of Tayport. It's on the Fife Coastal Path and the Fife Millennium Cycle Route. Staffed by 5 passionate, local team members and by our amazing volunteers. We serve homemade soups, hearty toasties and sandwiches, breakfast rolls, Belgian waffles, homemade pancake stacks, ice cream, ice cream milkshakes, freshly ground coffee and great homebaked cakes and scones. The Harbour Cafe is run by Tayport Community Enterprises Ltd., a Scottish registered company SC364116. TCE Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tayport Community Trust, a Scottish charity SC042558

The coffee machine company that were due to pick up the our old coffee machine changed dates and didn’t collect on Monday. So we are now hopefully making the swap tomorrow. This means we could be open later tomorrow as the old equipment isn’t getting collected until at the earliest 9am. Then we have the installation of the new machine. We will keep you all updated with the progress. 🥰

Good Morning, well, as usual, we've been busy at the cafe making some treats for you today.
Apple crumble is just about to go in the oven, and we have a dairy free chocolate orange marble cake with chocolate ganache🙂.
Our savoury specials are Pea and Coriander soup and a Haggis and Brie panini. Hope that tempts you to come along😊😊

‘Her Wee Books’, Phyllis Fenton, Sunday 27th Sept

Starting this Sunday, 27th September, we'll take a look into the sketchbooks of local artist Phyllis Fenton. Phyllis showed her landscape paintings in the Cafe earlier this year. We now follow that by showing another part of her work, her sketchbooks. Sketchbooks are like personal journals for artists and are rarely shown publicly. This is a rare glimpse into the charming ‘unfinished’ quick sketches she makes with her mini kit of watercolours, pens and pencils while out walking. Phyllis invites you to come along to view her sketches and enjoy the Harbour Café's warm hospitality. The show runs to 31 October.

Chris Kelly's Tay Skies Watercolours

Our current show of Chris’s watercolours ends this Saturday, Sept 26th. He has shown with the Cafe before, and his work has always been well received. His favoured subject is the River Tay, and its skies are his principal inspiration. This year, the work also explores the Tay and its atmosphere more. If you haven’t seen Chris’s work, take this last chance to come along and enjoy the excellent food and beverages in the Harbour Café.

Over the summer, as you may be aware, we had huge problems with our coffee machine. So on Monday 28th of September we are having a brand new coffee machine installed. No more coffee issues in the future hopefully🤞.
Well are hoping to be open by 10am on Monday morning, but it might be a bit later, we'll keep you posted on the day, and thank you for your patience and understanding 🙂

Evening All.
Just a wee note to say that due to circumstances beyond our control we will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday 15th September. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and for the short notice. So these are our specials today, along with our usual range of homebaked cakes.
Tomorrow, we're going to be trying a couple of new things with an autumn vibe. We'll have pecan fruit and nut scones, an apple crump and warming minestrone soup. Hope you're able to join us over the next couple of days🙂🙂
