We’re looking for someone friendly, reliable and passionate about coffee. Previous barista experience is preferred, but we’re happy to hear from someone who is eager to learn.

KITCHEN PORTER 🍽️
We’re looking for someone hardworking, reliable and organised to help keep our kitchen clean, tidy and running smoothly.

Working days:
Saturday • Sunday • Monday
10-15 hours weekly

🏆 Champion of Champions

What an unforgettable journey!
When I first entered Tavistock Cream Tea Week, I simply wanted to celebrate the wonderful tradition of the Devon cream tea while sharing a story through food.

Our “From Abbey to Mesopotamia” scone was inspired by two remarkable histories—Tavistock Abbey and Mesopotamia, often recognised as the cradle of agriculture. It was our way of bringing together local heritage and the story of where food began.

To be awarded Champion of Champions is an incredible honour.

A huge thank you to the organisers of Tavistock Cream Tea Week (BID) for creating such a fantastic event that celebrates creativity, tradition and independent businesses. These events bring our community together and showcase everything that makes Tavistock so special.

To the judges, thank you for your time and thoughtful feedback.

To my amazing team, thank you for your hard work, passion and commitment every single day. This achievement belongs to all of us.

And finally, to our wonderful customers—thank you for believing in us, supporting us and being part of the Aroma Cafe story.

Because Mesopotamia is known as the birthplace of settled life and agriculture — where communities gathered, shared their harvests and built traditions around food and hospitality.

Our Mesopotamia Sharing Breakfast celebrates that heritage with a table designed for sharing, conversation and connection.
