We would like to address the recent accusations of assault at Drakes that some of you may have seen over Facebook.

This incident has been investigated by the police who have reviewed our CCTV footage and found that NO assault upon a customer has taken place but rather a customer shoving the accused and leaving the premises with a bottle w**e they refused to pay for. We are not taking this any further and the police have concluded this case.

We would also like to address any confusion surrounding our ingredients and allergens. We are allergen conscious and do NOT serve food without knowing it’s contents. Our food is prepared fresh and our menu is not currently gluten free. We ask for any dietary requirements and allergies upon taking our bookings to make sure we can cater to our customers. If you do not tell us what you require when we ask, then we will not know.

We are completely aware of the dangers of not disclosing ingredients and allergens to our customers.

We have decided to address this incident because of the effect such serious accusations can have on a business. These claims were FALSIFIED with absolutely no evidence to back it up. Please do not automatically believe everything you read on Facebook. There are two sides to every story.

The damage is done but we have every right to defend ourselves.
