I genuinely think people are going to surprise themselves with this one. 🤩

This workshop is all about slowing down, experimenting, and creating something beautiful without needing any artistic experience whatsoever.

Using eco resin, you’ll mix colours, explore marbling effects, pour your designs, and create three unique pieces to take home.

The process is incredibly satisfying to watch unfold, and because every pour behaves differently, no two pieces are ever the same.

⭐️ One of the questions I get asked most is…

“But what do you actually do there?” 🌿

The truth is, there isn’t a right answer.

Some people paint.
Some make mosaics.
Some colour quietly with a cup of tea.
Some explore the sand tray.
Some chat with friends.
Some sit in comfortable silence and enjoy having nowhere else they need to be.

Wren & Bramble was never created to teach people how to make perfect art.

It was created to offer something many of us don’t have enough of anymore:

Space.

Space to slow down.
Space to create.
Space to rest.
Space to reconnect with yourself and others.

If you’ve been following along for a while and wondering whether to visit, this is your gentle reminder that you don’t need to be creative, artistic, or have a plan before you arrive.

This morning was one of those sessions that reminded me exactly why Wren & Bramble exists. 🥰

Four friends arrived together and spent a couple of hours creating, chatting, laughing and simply enjoying each other’s company.

Two worked alongside each other on a beautiful bird jigsaw, another explored kinusaiga for the first time, and my mum chose to paint on the doors, using an open creative prompt:

“A meeting point. Bring elements together.”

What emerged was a beautiful painting of a whale beneath the sea, looking up at a boat resting on the surface above. It reminded me of an amazing trip we took together to Northern Norway.

And then she gifted it to me.

Signed in the corner:
“With love from Grandma.”

It’s now destined for River’s bedroom and I’m not sure there could be a more meaningful piece of artwork. 🐋🧊⚓️

Watching people create together is one thing.

Watching them connect, share stories, laugh until they cry, encourage one another and leave feeling lighter is something else entirely.

The creativity matters.

But it’s the calmness.
The togetherness.
The connection.
The joy.

That’s the bit that stays with people long after they’ve gone home 🌿

Sometimes a couple of hours spent creating can become so much more than that. 🤎

A new gentle Wednesday evening session at Wren & Bramble.

Not everyone wants to paint a masterpiece.

Sometimes you simply need a quiet corner, a warm drink, something creative to do with your hands, and permission to switch off for a little while.

Pause & Create is a relaxed, low-pressure creative wellbeing session where you're welcome to:

✨ Colour
✨ Sketch
✨ Journal
✨ Explore the sand tray
✨ Build with Lego
✨ Knit or Crochet
✨ Chat gently with others
✨ Or simply enjoy some peaceful creative time to yourself

No experience needed.
No pressure to be artistic.
No expectations.

🎨 This painting wasn’t planned. 🖼️

In fact, I sat staring at the paper for quite a while because I had absolutely no idea where to begin.

I’ve been carrying a lot, emotionally, recently and painting felt easier than finding the words.

What emerged surprised me.

A figure holding the things that feel heavy.
A world around them that still contains beauty.
And a shadow that remains connected, even when the sun is shining.

As I reflected afterwards, I realised the thing that got me started was creating a boundary.

Just one continuous line.

One shape.

One place to begin.

Sometimes when life feels overwhelming, healing doesn’t start with having all the answers.

Sometimes it starts with creating a small boundary and taking one tiny step.

The painting isn’t really about art.

It’s about what happens when we give ourselves permission to express something before we fully understand it.

And perhaps that’s why creativity can be so powerful.

It gives shape to things that words cannot always reach. 🌱

A little welcome to all of our new followers lately 👋

Whether you’ve recently found Wren & Bramble through a shared post, a reel, a recommendation, or simply stumbled across us online somewhere along the way… thank you for being here. 🌿

Wren & Bramble was created to be a calm, creative wellbeing space where both adults and children can slow down, explore creativity gently, and step away from the pressure and noise of everyday life for a little while.

There’s no expectation to be artistic.
No pressure to produce something perfect.
No structured art class environment.

Just a warm, welcoming space filled with creative materials, calming activities, drinks, snacks, and permission to simply exist and create at your own pace. 💛

People often come here feeling nervous because they “aren’t creative” and leave saying they haven’t felt that relaxed in a very long time.

If you’ve been quietly following along and thinking about booking, this is your gentle sign to come and experience the space for yourself. 🌿

We currently offer:

And there are lots of exciting things still to come. 😁

I also just want to say how genuinely grateful I am for every bit of support this little business has received already. These early months of building something from the ground up are definitely the hardest, and behind the scenes it’s currently a mixture of running sessions across four days and two evenings, finishing my final placement work in schools, university assignments, school runs, breastfeeding a baby (who demands a cheeky late night/early morning snack), family life, and usually replying to messages far later at night than I probably should be. 🌿

But every time somebody walks through the door and says the space feels calming, comforting, or like a warm hug, it reminds me exactly why I started all of this in the first place.

Supporting small businesses in their early stages honestly means more than people probably realise, and every booking, share, recommendation and kind word genuinely helps this little space continue to grow. ✨

Something a little different is coming to Wren & Bramble. 🌿
✨ June 17th - 6:30pm-8:30pm ✨

I’m so thrilled to be introducing our new Eco Marbling Workshop using a beautiful eco-friendly casting material that creates a lovely, soft, stone-like finish.

During the session, you’ll be able to create and take home three of your own marbled pieces using pigments, moulds and different pouring techniques: all within the calm, welcoming atmosphere of the studio.

Think:
✨ trinket dishes
✨ coasters
✨ ring trays
✨ soft marbled textures
✨ slow, mindful creativity

No experience is needed at all, and everything will be guided gently step-by-step.

As always at Wren & Bramble, the focus isn’t on perfection: it’s simply about slowing down, exploring creativity, and enjoying the process. ☺️
