Last month we had a family photoshoot with Sradag Creative 📸

Chris obviously had to turn it into a foraging trip 🤣 Picking sea beet and sea rocket with the kids at the beach before the school run is completely normal for us!
It’s been lovely having a little more time over the summer to slow down, enjoy these moments and not feel like we’re constantly rushing from one thing to the next.

Teaching the kids about edible, locally grown and foraged foods has always been really important to us. 🌿 They’ve grown up around food, foraging and cooking, and it’s something we love sharing with them.

Our little family behind Flavour 🥰 You’ll often hear them in the background of calls, see them if you pop into the restaurant and they generally keep us super busy.. running a small business and raising a family!

We wouldn’t have it any other way 🧡

What a difference a year makes!

We took Christopher back to have first ever foraging spot yesterday and thabks to all the rain we had we found a hige bounty of over 7 varieties of wild edible mushrooms 🍄

We'll do a more detailed post but here's what mushrooms we found;

🍄the Prince Agaricus
🍄 the King Bolete
🍄 Golden chanterelles
🍄 Grey Oysters
🍄 Scaretina Bolete
🍄 Winter Chanterelles
🍄 Hedgehogs (Early for this time of year!)

Celebrating the new dram from The Isle of Harris Distillery with our petit fours on our tasting menu this week:

🍫Milk chocolate, Isle of Harris caramel
🥃Hearach jelly
🍫White chocolate, Oloroso ganache

You may also be have been lucky enough to taste during a whisky experience on the launch day of the new whisky.
