After nearly 6 years I'm hanging up my apron and spatula. The lovely Jo will be cooking and looking after from now on. I'm sure she'll enjoy it as much as I did and that you'll all make her feel welcome.
I have met so many wonderful people who have become amazing friends and have some really happy memories.

You may have noticed that I have removed drinking straws from my cafe in support of this along with travel mugs being sold with a brew to encourage people to not use throw away plastic cups and lids. Hope you will support me on this xx

Over the last month or so you may have noticed that we have removed straws from the bar. This is to help on the amount that we use and to do our bit in helping the environment. Straws are still available but now only on request.

After tracking down the owner of a stolen trailer and container which was left outside my cafe (After South Yorkshire Police hadn't !!!! ) This is what their Transport Manager sent me as a thank you. I'm over the moon 🌛

APPEAL: Rotherham bogus official investigation- do you recognise this car?

Police are asking for your help to identify the drivers of this car following a reported bogus official incident in Rotherham.

At around 12pm on Thursday 22 February it was reported a man had offered to carry maintenance on the roof of a property on Bawtry Road, Rotherham. The owner of the property consented to this work and a price of £30 for the service was agreed.

The following day (Friday 23 February), again at round 12pm, the man along with four other men attended the property to carry out the work.

After completing another inspection of the roof, the man claimed additional work was needed and a new price of £850 was agreed.

The victim handed over £560 and was due to pay the remainder once the work was complete.

On becoming suspicious of their activity the men were asked to produce documents of the company they worked for and proof of paperwork. The men failed to provide the information and made off without completing the work.

It is believed the men had been driving a silver Ford focus with Trojan building and roofing printed on the front.

An investigation is currently ongoing and officers are now keen to trace the drivers of this car.

Anyone who was in the area at the time, or has information that can assist with enquiries, is asked to report it via 101 quoting incident number 430 of 23 February

Here's proof (for all those sceptics out therelol) I tried to make it into work. Snow so bad it's taken me nearly an hour to do 1 mile. Got stuck 3 TIMES and lost it once so I have turned back. Sorry everyone x

Woodhead closed.
Main roads really bad. Took me an hour to get from home to M1 n back. Turned back m1 cams show it to be a mess. Got stuck 3 TIMES lost it once. Not worth it. Sorry everyone x
