Hi to our new followers..we thought we'd do a few posts to introduce ourselves and show you where we started our journey. We are Adam and Abbey and we started as just a foodie couple. Simply passionate about good food and great ingredients.
Unknown fact 11 years ago we built a unit it was actually our horse trailer for our horses!!! As far as we are aware we were the second people to ever put a woodfired oven into a horsebox in the uk it was a weird concept!!!
In another lifetime Adam was a horse riding instructor and I'm an equine therapist of 20 odd years.
We've both always been pretty handy and Adam has been a fabricator welder for many years now so we painstakingly converted our trailer into a pizzeria every night after work once the kids were in bed.
It was months of hard graft, learning what was needed by trial and error, fitting refitting and meeting standards by environment health so we were authentic but still safe.
Finally we moved onto making, remaking then refining the perfect woodfired pizzas tested on our ever patient supportive and brutally honest family and friends some of who sadly aren't with us anymore. But we have amazing memories of fun parties and get togethers trialling every step we took.
We had many highs and many lows over the next few years, learned some huge lessons, got better and better then launched into private events and finally weddings where we found our niche. We met some amazing people along the way. Even Dizzy Rascal and Jonny Marr (The Smiths) bought pizza from us!!!!
