Located in the small parish of Hannington between Kingsclere & Basingstoke, The Vine was originally called The Wellington Arms as it sits on the land that once belonged to the estate of the Duke of Wellington. It was also known locally as The Shepherd's Crook and Shears but the name was officially changed to The Vine Inn in 1960, after The Vine and Craven Hunt whose kennels are nearby. We are a family run business and are very fortunate to have a great team of staff who provide outstanding customer service. We serve delicious home-cooked food, fine wines and real cask ales in our friendly traditional country pub. Dog and family friendly with a beautiful garden, conservatory and cosy bar with log fire. We purchase our produce from local suppliers such as Wyatt's Butchers in Wolverton, John Burton's Foodmarket & Coopers of Andover.

Very simply, If you love what we do, please, leave a review.
If you don’t- please tell us!!

We are well above the industry average and any issues have been dealt with along the way.
Our aim is to the best in the South but we need your support.

Are we a destination pub? We most certainly are.

The couple in this beautiful TR6 hadn’t been for a couple of years and had a run out to RG26 5TX.

They had a great experience with us and had food envy at the plates being served. They’d eaten before they left.

I got the awesome history of the car, dry state USA origin and purchased there, completed the CopperState 1000 before being shipped home to the UK.

What a car!
