🍋 A LITTLE LEMON TREE NEWS… 🍋
After 7 years, it’s time for Jane and Geoff to hang up their aprons and take things a little easier! ❤️
We never imagined when we took over The Lemon Tree in January 2020, just weeks before the first Covid lockdown, quite what a rollercoaster the journey ahead would be.
From lockdowns and uncertainty to all the ups and downs of running a small independent café, it certainly hasn’t always been easy. But here we are, nearly seven years later, and we’re still standing! 💛
And that is very much down to you, our wonderful customers. 🥰
Whether you’ve popped in for a coffee and cake, enjoyed lunch with friends, called in after a walk or cycle, or simply stopped by for a chat, we want to say a massive THANK YOU. Your support, loyalty, friendship and kindness have meant more to us than you’ll ever know. You’ve helped make The Lemon Tree so much more than just a café, and we’ll always be grateful for that.
We also want to say a huge thank you to all our staff, past and present. ❤️ You’ve been such an important part of The Lemon Tree story, and we couldn’t have done it without you. Thank you for your hard work, your commitment, the laughs along the way, and for helping us make the café what it is today. You’ll always be part of the Lemon Tree family. 🍋
Our last day of trading under our ownership will be Saturday 24th October, when we’ll be closing the doors for the final time as Jane and Geoff.
But this isn’t necessarily goodbye to The Lemon Tree itself! 🍋
We’re really hopeful that we have someone lined up who can take the café forward and continue what we’ve built together. Nothing is final just yet, but we’re keeping our fingers crossed and will keep you all updated as things progress.
For now, we’d love to see as many of you as possible before we close. Come in for a cuppa, a bite to eat, a slice of cake and, most importantly, a chat!
Seven years, a few grey hairs, countless cups of coffee and some wonderful memories later, it’s time for us to enjoy the next chapter. ❤️
