Hi All,
Further to last weeks post, unfortunately last weekend turned out to be even quieter for us than we thought it would be, along with sadly thousands of other pubs across England.
Many of our local pubs chose to remain closed and even considering that we were one of the few open, we still found the numbers to be unsustainable.
We have decided like many of our peers, that sadly Tier 2 does not work for us and we have taken a very difficult and painful decision to close once again (Including ROOTZ), until Tiers are reviewed and consumer confidence returns to an tradable level.
We apologise to any of our wonderful regulars, who may have been thinking of visiting us this weekend for any inconvenience and we look forward to welcoming you back to The Bot, just as soon as trading is once again a viable option.
We gave consideration to trading on Sundays, but stock management, kitchen prep and all the other ingredients that go into opening, do not lend themselves to being viable as a one day a week business.
If we do not open again prior to Christmas, we wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year....
