We’ve just added a new blog to our website, taking you on a journey through the history of our much-loved pub - from over 300 years of welcoming guests to the heritage of our beautiful Grade II listed building.

There’s plenty of history, character and a few surprises along the way! So grab a drink, settle in and discover more about the place you know and love.📸

We’re excited to introduce the newest member of the G&D kitchen team — Johnny! 🎉

Originally from Romania, Johnny has been cooking professionally for around 7 years, and we’re delighted to have him join the G&D team.

We asked Johnny a few questions so you can get to know the man behind the food…

🥩 Favourite dish to cook: Steak — he loves cooking it and getting it just right.

🍗 Favourite dish to eat: Chicken schnitzel with chunky chips. 😋

🥤 Favourite drink: A cold Coke — simple!
