This year's biggest event so far for Sweet Caroline!! 💫 Last Friday we supplied full external catering services for a big customer based in Ashby, for their annual awards ceremony. Providing a full afternoon tea on site at their offices for 70 guests, including table setting, crockery, glasses & cutlery hire, tea stands, & clearing services, we worked alongside the client throughout the day to deliver to their specifications and timescales.
An enormous amount of time, planning and preparation went into this event, which ensured it was a massive success! 🎉🥂
Thank you to my amazing team who worked at the client offices with me for the day, they represented Sweet Caroline brilliantly and I could not have done it without them. Sarah Burbidge Katie Menham Ellie Smith 🤩

The summer holidays have whizzed by in a blink!! 💫 Here's a round-up of what I've been up to over the last 6 weeks, part 1: Celebration Cakes!!
My first wedding cake in a while went out a few weeks ago, a design chosen by the happy couple, included a marble effect smooth fondant covering, gold leaf, and faux flowers.
I've also supplied a variety of birthday cakes, from age 3 to 80!! Thank you to all my lovely customers, new and returning, for keeping me so busy and happy with what I do!! 😊🎂🎉

Big nervous day in our household, youngest daughter getting her GCSE results today!! Massive luck to everyone, and whatever the outcome, well done and be proud of yourself!! 🤞✨️🍀💫🤞

Sweet Caroline wants to say a big thank you to lots of people!! 🥰
Some of our regular café customers may have noticed I've not been around too much recently, and my followers on here will certainly have noticed a lack of posts and updates too.... 🤔
The last 4 weeks have been a bit of a whirlwind, 💫 since returning from hols I've had a couple of big things going on, firstly my events catering business has massively stepped up so that has kept me busy elsewhere. And also more importantly my mum has been very unwell so I've been helping take care of her & supporting my dad through a difficult time.
The café has continued to be very busy throughout all of this, so this is a HUGE thank you to my fabulous café team who have really stepped up to keep things going. But also a MASSIVE thank you to everyone who continues to support my small business, it means so very much ❤️
I have lots to update on here so watch this space!! 🤩

Sweet Caroline is back from her hols!!
I need to say a massive thank you & well done to Al Menham & the team who did a marvellous job keeping things going whilst I was gone, despite a few hiccups along the way. They have proved they can manage without me so I'm currently planning my next break 🤣☀️⛱️🍹😎

A quick note to all our lovely customers!! The boss lady is off on her long awaited holidays for a very overdue break 🥂☀️⛱️🍹
From tomorrow Tuesday 30th June we will be offering a slightly reduced menu, and food service may take slightly longer than usual during busy times.
Please be aware we will not be serving full breakfasts at all, however our lighter breakfast options and most lunch items will still be available.
Caroline will be back and (hopefully) refreshed from 11th July!

Busy (and hot 🔥) week in the Sweet Caroline catering kitchen, business lunches flying out every day, afternoon teas in the café, and yesterday we catered for the gentleman's lunch at Dunstall Cricket Club. We served a 4 course menu to 32 people in the marquee with full table service. Thankfully a little cooler than it has been!
Thank you to my army of helpers, Sarah Harris, Katie Menham & Harry, Becky Menham, Ellie Smith & Sydney Newbold, we smashed it!!

It's been a teensy bit hot in our kitchen today & it's set to get even hotter over the next few days. So in the interests of health & safety for our team, we may stop hot food service slightly earlier than usual, & our full breakfasts will only be available until midday for the rest of this week. Thank you for your understanding 🔥💥🥵

This week has whizzed by in a blink!! 💫 Last weekend only seems 5 minutes ago since we hosted TWO private functions in the café 🎂🥂🎉
On Saturday evening we welcomed 17 ladies for a baby shower with full afternoon tea, followed by a 40th birthday party on Sunday afternoon with a buffet & bar service 🍺🍾

My last few cakes for a little while!! Due to upcoming events & staff holidays my celebration cake diary is closed until late July... I'm now taking bookings for August onwards 🎉🎂👩‍🍳
Please remember to book well in advance, minimum 4 weeks notice, but longer if you want to guarantee the date. I have dates reserved for next year already 😊
