🍺 THE TEVIE BAR – CLOSED TONIGHT 🍺

Just a quick heads-up that The Tevie Bar will be closed tonight while we carry out our beer line cleaning and cellar maintenance.

We know it can be frustrating when the bar isn’t open on a Friday night, but we’d rather close for an evening and do the job properly than compromise on the quality of what we’re serving.

It’s probably also worth a little reminder about how The Tevie bar works.

We are a football club with a bar – not a bar with a football club. ⚽🍺

The people who run the bar, maintain the clubhouse and do the jobs behind the scenes are volunteers. This isn’t our day job. We all have work, families and other commitments, alongside football matches and everything else involved in keeping a grassroots football club running.

Jobs like line cleaning have to be fitted around all of that, and occasionally that means we have to close the bar to get them done properly.

We completely understand people enjoy using the bar – and we’re glad they do – but please remember that it only operates because people give up their own time to make it happen.

Every pint bought at The Tevie bar supports Teversal Football Club and helps us keep the club running and improving.

❤️🖤 DAN TOWRISS MEMORIAL DAY – SATURDAY 15TH AUGUST ❤️🖤

We’re coming together at Teversal Football Club for a special day in memory of Dan Towriss — a much-loved friend and regular guest who brought us plenty of music, laughter and great memories over the years.

We want the day to be exactly that: a celebration of Dan’s life, while also putting on a brilliant fun day for all the family.

🏰 Bouncy castle – all day
🎨 Face painting for the kids – all day
🍕 Elevated Pizza – 11:30am–2:30pm
⚽ Football game – 3pm
🎸 LIVE MUSIC FROM TWOASIS after the football until late!

There’ll be plenty to keep the kids entertained throughout the day, followed by football, live music, drinks and a chance for everyone to get together, share stories and celebrate the memories Dan left behind.

We have waited to post this news as we wanted to respect Dan’s family and give them time to grieve the devastating loss of Dan.

It is with the greatest sadness and deepest regret that Dan Towriss, our beloved artist and friend passed away very unexpectedly a few weeks ago at a very young age.

Dan was so loved by all at Tevie, we watched him grow from a young shy boy into an absolute legend and a man. We are deeply shocked and saddened by his passing.

Dan was booked to perform for us on the 15th August next Saturday as we’d planned to have a ‘Teviefest’, however this day will now be dedicated to Dan to honour him.

Saturday 15th August is now a Memorial Day for Dan Towriss. We would like as many to attend as possible. We will be posting the bands playing and activities in the next post.

For now we would like to remember Dan for the amazing human and talent he had. He brought so much joy to so many of our evenings.
