Wow, what a weekend hosting our inaugural Beer & Music Festival, over the Bank Holiday. We had so much fun (and just a ‘little’ hard work) pulling everything together, but we were so proud to have presented to you all our very own Festival for the first time.
We send our appreciation to you all, our customers, who took time out of their precious Bank Holiday to spend it with us, and to join together with all our Queens Head community of wonderful people, who certainly know how to have a great time….even with a spot of English Weather.
We could not have done this without the support from our amazing staff, who worked their socks off for us, to make the event what it was. We thank you all from the bottom of our heart.
Our Musicians and Bands. Guys, you were all fantastic. So professional, never letting us down, and belting out amazing music and song, always getting the crowd smiling, and rocking along. You nailed it for us, and we want you to know we appreciate it so much.
And then, we have those we don’t want to be forgotten. Our families, friends and neighbours, who just went the extra mile, with self-sacrifice and generosity to add to the massive joint effort. Thanks to you all. You know who you are. Xx
So, time for a little breather, and then we’ll get our heads around arranging the next Great Event for you all. Stay Tuned folks

We’re making a list, and checking it Twice! We’ve been out tasting and researching some superb local beers, ales and ciders for our Beer and Music festival on the Bank Holiday. Someone has to do it! The cellar is starting to fill up as we condition some great pints for you, ready to serve in Grade A quality. We know Beer!

Today, we were happy to welcome the delightful Mr Peter Dean for lunch, who some of you may remember as the cheeky Pete Beale from Eastenders. Peter has family connections with the village and regularly comes back to visit. He has fond memories of the Queens Head and sneaking into the snug when he was a nipper for a Vimto, ready to run if the boys in blue came around. He had family working hop picking nearby. He told us about the little track way called Cut-throat Lane where the scarey man with the big frying pan might chase you off! Anyone else know about that? And, he said that there was a big mystery about the warplane that had been seen coming down near the village, but had mysteriously disappeared. They found a mound only. Years later, they found that the plane had hit the ground so hard, it had buried itself in the ground. They had all seen it after all. Does anyone remember that? Peter, thanks for stopping by, it was a pleasure to raise a glass with you 🙏

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Queens Quiz Night on Tuesday. What a great evening. The winning team was “My Name is Jeff” and they very kindly donated their winnings of £137.50 to the “Hospice in the Weald” another fantastic charity ❤️ Thank you to everyone for your support & thank you to our amazing quiz master Adam. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
