It’s finally happening. This Sunday, September 6th from 3pm till 8pm, I’ll be firing up the wood‑fired oven at Serenity Cocktail Bar, Boldmere — massive thanks to Scott and Claire for making it possible.

Serenity is launching The Sunday Club, and I’m proud to be the one chosen to inaugurate it. It’s going to be fun!

I’ll be cooking some of the amazing pizzas from the good old days, and you’re all invited. They’ll be slightly smaller than my usual ones — 9 inches — but just as tasty 🍕

Plenty of doughs available, but once they’re gone… they’re gone.

I’ll be set up at the back, the bar will be fully stocked, the b**r garden open, and you’ll see some familiar faces serving you.

As always, I’ll be supporting my favourite charities: Birmingham Children's Hospital and Charity and Acorns Children's Hospice

Looking forward to seeing you all there.

It’s a scorching 32 °C in Boldmere today ☀️
I used my infrared thermometer to check pavement temperatures — the same one I use for the wood‑fired oven — and the results were surprising.

Dog‑safe ground temperature should be 35 °C or under, and today the pavement is much hotter than it feels.
Wherever in the world you are, please take care of your furry 🐾 friends 🐶 in the heat.

Look at this — I’ve had the 🦩 logo embroidered onto new polo shirts and hats for the upcoming events. They look beautiful 😍 Huge thanks to Matt and his team at Branded Clothing in Sutton Coldfield for the wonderful job.

And… the 🦩 logo is now officially a registered trademark 🥳 Another milestone, and plenty more to build on.

Sorry I haven’t been in touch as much as I wanted recently — the past month has been full-on. I’ve taken on a full‑time managerial role in a brilliant Italian restaurant in Streetly, and I’ll tell you all about it very soon.

Your Flamingo wood‑fired pizza events are still very much alive too. I’ve been working on things behind the scenes and, yes, I’ve spent a fair bit of money considering I have no budget 🤣
But this project has always gone far beyond money for me.

I care for my two daughters every day, while Your Flamingo helps support the charities that cared for the boy who never grew up — helping those innocent young souls who need it most. My money will come back slowly slowly, and if it doesn’t, I honestly don’t mind. Doing good makes me feel alive.

So let’s rock and roll 🤘
Let’s get this oven fired up 🍕

Exciting times ahead. There’s a lot of work to do — some within my comfort zone, some pushing me beyond it — but I’m not scared of the unknown.

It’s all happening. Your Flamingo is now officially registered with Birmingham City Council for catering events, and I’m deep in the setup phase of this new venture.

I’m building this piece by piece — and I can’t wait to share what’s coming next 🤩
