Hey 🦩s

What a great day we had last Sunday at the pop-up event we catered for at 🍕 SERENITY COCKTAIL BAR & CAFE
The pizzas were flying, the atmosphere was fantastic, the weather was warm and sunny, and it was brilliant to see so many familiar faces and happy families, much appreciated your support.
I loved every minute of it, and I promise we’ll be back soon.

A huge thank you to Scott and Claire for having us again.

Hey 🦩s,

How’s things?
Time seems to be flying. In the blink of an eye, summer is over, but autumn doesn’t seem to have arrived yet considering how warm it’s been! 🍕
This Sunday, 4th October, we’ll be hosting another pizza event at Serenity Cocktail Bar, Boldmere, from 4pm.
Picture this: the wood-fired oven is fired up, our dough has been proved for 72 hours, fresh ingredients are ready to go, and we’ll be serving some of the best traditional Neapolitan pizza around for one day only. Add a great selection of b**rs and wines, fantastic background music, and you’ve got the perfect Sunday.
Hopefully autumn doesn’t decide to make an appearance while I’m cooking under a gazebo! 😂😂😂 Whatever the weather, I’ll continue supporting my chosen charities, Birmingham Children's Hospital and Charity and Acorns Children's Hospice ❤️
Looking forward to seeing you all there.

Hey 🦩s

What a wonderful day we had last Sunday.
Thank you to all of you who came to the Your Flamingo wood‑fired pizza event SERENITY COCKTAIL BAR & CAFE — lots of familiar faces, including some I haven’t seen in a while. It was an absolute pleasure to cook for you all. Of course, it made me miss the days when I had the shop; letting it go was a very hard decision to make. I have no regrets, but it would be a lie if I said I don’t miss it.

Thank you to Chris for helping me out, to Scott Alfresco Trends Events and Claire for allowing me to pitch at the back — much appreciated. Hopefully we’ll do it again 🙏 as long as it’s not pouring down with rain 😂

🦩 Your Flamingo has officially flown the nest 🦩

Keep your eyes peeled for the next event ❤️

Hey 🦩s

It’s finally happening. This Sunday, September 6th from 3pm till 8pm, I’ll be firing up the wood‑fired oven at Serenity Cocktail Bar, Boldmere — massive thanks to Scott and Claire for making it possible.

Serenity is launching The Sunday Club, and I’m proud to be the one chosen to inaugurate it. It’s going to be fun!

I’ll be cooking some of the amazing pizzas from the good old days, and you’re all invited. They’ll be slightly smaller than my usual ones — 9 inches — but just as tasty 🍕

Plenty of doughs available, but once they’re gone… they’re gone.

I’ll be set up at the back, the bar will be fully stocked, the b**r garden open, and you’ll see some familiar faces serving you.

As always, I’ll be supporting my favourite charities: Birmingham Children's Hospital and Charity and Acorns Children's Hospice

Looking forward to seeing you all there.

Hey 🦩s,

It’s a scorching 32 °C in Boldmere today ☀️
I used my infrared thermometer to check pavement temperatures — the same one I use for the wood‑fired oven — and the results were surprising.

Dog‑safe ground temperature should be 35 °C or under, and today the pavement is much hotter than it feels.
Wherever in the world you are, please take care of your furry 🐾 friends 🐶 in the heat.

See you around.

Hey 🦩s

Look at this — I’ve had the 🦩 logo embroidered onto new polo shirts and hats for the upcoming events. They look beautiful 😍 Huge thanks to Matt and his team at Branded Clothing in Sutton Coldfield for the wonderful job.

And… the 🦩 logo is now officially a registered trademark 🥳 Another milestone, and plenty more to build on.

Who would’ve thought my favourite artist is sombr ??

Hey 🦩s

Sorry I haven’t been in touch as much as I wanted recently — the past month has been full-on. I’ve taken on a full‑time managerial role in a brilliant Italian restaurant in Streetly, and I’ll tell you all about it very soon.

Your Flamingo wood‑fired pizza events are still very much alive too. I’ve been working on things behind the scenes and, yes, I’ve spent a fair bit of money considering I have no budget 🤣
But this project has always gone far beyond money for me.

I care for my two daughters every day, while Your Flamingo helps support the charities that cared for the boy who never grew up — helping those innocent young souls who need it most. My money will come back slowly slowly, and if it doesn’t, I honestly don’t mind. Doing good makes me feel alive.

So let’s rock and roll 🤘
Let’s get this oven fired up 🍕

See you around,
Tony

Hey 🦩s

Exciting times ahead. There’s a lot of work to do — some within my comfort zone, some pushing me beyond it — but I’m not scared of the unknown.

It’s all happening. Your Flamingo is now officially registered with Birmingham City Council for catering events, and I’m deep in the setup phase of this new venture.

I’m building this piece by piece — and I can’t wait to share what’s coming next 🤩

Stay tuned.

Hey 🦩s

Exciting times ahead 🤩
Look what I’ve just bought! We all know Your Flamingo has flown the nest — he’s grown his wings and will soon be flying places 🦩🦩🦩

Lots of behind‑the‑scenes work for me to do, but I’ll keep you posted ❤️

See you around
