The Sunbury Gallery Award-winning Gallery with Cafe with patio overlooking an 18th Century Walled Garden.

The award-winning Sunbury Embroidery Gallery is situated in a stunning, historic 18th century Walled Garden, surrounded by parkland and a short walk from the River Thames, in Lower Sunbury Village. The Gallery is home to The Millenium Embroidery, which is on permanent display, and has an exhibition programme that showcases a wide variety of artworks by artists from different disciplines throughout

the year. Our Café overlooks the splendid Walled Garden and is perfect place for a light lunch or an afternoon cream tea. Using carefully selected ingredients, the Café hand bakes all it's wonderful cakes.

Join Sophie, Royal School of Needlework graduate and expert in over 30 embroidery techniques, for two beautiful embroidery workshops this season.

Goldwork Dragonfly is a two day workshop where you will learn felt padding, chipping and couching, whilst stitching a shimmering dragonfly.

Introduction to Ribbon Work will teach you how to embellish with surface stitches and ribbon-work flowers.

We are thrilled to announce that Diana Springall has been awarded an MBE in the King’s Birthday Honours List 2026 for services to Arts and Crafts.

This honour is richly deserved and provides wonderful recognition of her lifelong dedication to embroidery. Through her own outstanding practice, her teaching and mentoring of countless others, the development and stewardship of her remarkable collection, and her tireless enthusiasm for promoting embroidery as a serious and respected art form, she has made an exceptional contribution to the field.

Her passion, generosity, and commitment have inspired generations of embroiderers and helped ensure that the art of embroidery continues to flourish. We are delighted to see her achievements recognised at a national level and offer our warmest congratulations on this well-deserved honour.
