We have some news.
This will be Cradle's final year. Our lease is due for renewal in January 2027 and, after much thought and careful consideration, Christophe and I feel that Cradle has reached its natural conclusion.
I could go on about how difficult it is to stay afloat in this industry right now, but you all know that already. We still love the work, but the sacrifices have come to outweigh the rewards.
We hope to continue most of our activities at Cradle for as long as we can and will keep you updated along the way. In the meantime, we remain committed to creating and serving with the same enthusiasm, passion, and love for what we do as we had when we first opened our doors almost ten years ago. We hope you'll stay with us during these final months and help us make them every bit as special as the journey has been.
On a practical note, 40 North Street is looking for a new tenant. While we're not selling the business as a going concern, we will be selling all of our assets, so please pass this on to anyone who might be dreaming of starting their own venture.
Also, Christophe and I will soon be entering the exciting world of unemployment, so if you know of anyone looking for two hardworking, slightly battle-worn hospitality veterans, please send them our way!
We'll save our goodbyes for later - it's not over yet!
