With capacity to host up to 12 passengers, the Lady Florence cruises an area rich in both wildlife and history. She offers plenty of space on deck to enjoy the calm waters of the Rivers Alde and Ore during the summer months, as well as a cosy coal fire on the saloon for quieter, more serene winter trips. Available either for individual bookings or as an exclusive private charter.

See the river in a different light this autumn. Join us for a peaceful one-hour morning cruise from Orford, with time to watch for birds and other wildlife along the river.

Today we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming Mary, her son, family and friends onboard to celebrate Mary’s incredible 102nd birthday! 🥂🎂

And what better way to mark such a wonderful milestone than a summer supper cruise on the River Alde — good food, beautiful scenery, plenty of laughter and, most importantly, time together making a few more precious memories. ❤️

We are looking for a friendly and reliable person to join the galley crew aboard Lady Florence.

The role includes:

• Preparing starters• Pot washing• Serving drinks• Supporting our guests onboard

This is part-time, seasonal work, with weekday and weekend shifts as required, so flexibility is important.

Experience is a bonus, but it isn’t essential. We are simply looking for someone who is enthusiastic, dependable and happy working as part of a small team.

🌿 A Sunday to slow down… ⚓

There really is something special about Sundays aboard Lady Florence.

As we gently cruise the beautiful rivers of Orford, the world seems to slow down. The only sounds are the birds, the gentle wash of the tide and the clink of glasses as another delicious lunch is served.

Freshly prepared food, beautiful Suffolk scenery and three hours to simply relax, unwind and enjoy the moment.

Some experiences can’t be rushed… and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
