In the UK, you pay one of the highest VAT rates in Europe. 20% extra in VAT for your meal out or stay away. In France, Spain and Italy, it’s 10%. In Germany? 7%.
The hospitality industry is facing uncertain times due to skyrocketing energy bills, food inflation, increased employment costs, and hiked business rates.
To help keep our pubs at the heart of our communities & to support local jobs please sign this petition to lower the rate of VAT for hospitality to 10% to help ease the pressure on our establishments. 🙏🏻🍻
