It is with a heavy heart that I have decided to put the Lockkeepers Cafe up for sale.
I have loved bringing this cafe back to life but I just do not have the time to give what this cafe deserves.
The pubs take up all my time and energy, so it’s time to give someone else the opportunity to run a fantastic cafe in an idyllic location.

If you know of anyone that is interested, please phone or message me.

I would just like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your custom over the past couple of years.

We will be closing our doors on Sunday 15th January at 3pm

Merry Christmas to all our customers and a big thank you for all your custom this last year.

On our festive menu this Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th, we are giving away a minced pie with every hot drink purchased 🎄.

We are also doing a festive baquette or toasted sandwich with turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce 🦃🎄.

This week’s Covid secure premises is the relatively new “Kids on the Lock” The Lock Keeper's Café in Wallbridge! 😷✔

When it came to step four and the relaxation of Covid measures in hospitality premises, the staff at the Lock Keeper’s collectively decided they would feel safer if they maintained the Covid secure measures they had in place. 🛑

Despite no longer offering full table service, the screens have been kept in place around the servery to protect both staff and customers and staff are still choosing to wear masks when serving customers. 😷

The business still displays the NHS Track and Trace QR code on entry, along with the option of providing details for those who do not have the app. 📱✍

In addition to this each table has a small track and trace QR code for customers to use. There is plentiful hand sanitiser around the premises and regular cleaning regimes of hand contact points and toilets are still in place. 🧼🧽🚻

Good ventilation is a key control in preventing the spread of Covid, so the doors and windows are being kept open to allow a good flow of air in the premises. 🚪

For customers who would rather sit outside in the fresh air the café has some outdoor seating overlooking the canal! 🌳🌉
