Orkney Brewery Visitor Centre The Orkney Brewery is based in the former schoolhouse for Quoyloo, one mile from Skara Brae, in the heart of Neolithic Orkney.

The unrushed culture with its traditional values influences the way we make our beer. We give undivided attention to each stage Formerly a Victorian schoolhouse, there’s no better place to learn about the history of brewing and our particular craft. Kids will love dressing up in Victorian school uniform on the children’s tour. Adults will enjoy finding out how our wonderful hand-crafted beers are

made. The beautiful GIFT SHOP offers some of our products and merchandise, as well as a range of local crafts and produce. And you can sample our creations in the TASTING HALL CAFE, where we also serve a selection of local specialities. It’s all fully accessible, except for the viewing platform. But picture support means even those with reduced mobility can enjoy the full tour. And guests with specific needs are always welcome – just let us know how we can help.

Our Visitors at the Brewery this afternoon included two former pupils of Quoyloo School . Elaine on the left (home from Canada) and Barbara ( who stays in Quoyloo ) enjoyed a catch up and some reminiscing of their time here in the school. We have memorabilia and photos all around to continue the link with the school house.
