Goodbye Stretford 💛 – Thank You for Everything
Hey everyone,
We just want to say a massive thank you to all of you who have supported The Maharajaa over the last 5 years. It’s been an incredible journey, and it’s not easy to say this, but we’ve now permanently closed our doors in Stretford.
Unfortunately, we couldn’t come to an agreement with our landlords, and along with a few other factors, we made the decision to walk away. It was the right call, even though it wasn’t easy. We held off from announcing this earlier as we were hoping the closure might push the landlords to reconsider our offer - but that didn’t happen.
When we first opened up, the place had a bad reputation and was pretty much run into the ground. But together - with your support - we turned it around and built something special. A proper community. A family.
The love we’ve received from M32 has been unreal. Truly overwhelming. You didn’t just come in for food - you stuck with us through everything, and so many of you became friends along the way. For that, we’ll always be grateful.
As many of you already know, we’ve now opened a new place in Pendlebury called Tagore. A lot of you have already made the trip over, and the support there has been just as incredible. Some of you are even travelling just to see us - that blows our minds and means more than you know.
This post is just to say thank you, from the bottom of our hearts. For every order, every visit, every kind word. You made The Maharajaa what it was. While this chapter in Stretford is now closed, the journey continues.
Goodbye Stretford — we’ll never forget you.
