Mama Mia….its officially hotter 🔥🔥🔥than Greece again today!!!

With that in mind it’s definitely the perfect day to go Greek. 🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷

We are open until 9pm tonight serving chilled drinks 🍻🍻🍻and wonderful Greek food.

The air con 🆒🆒🆒is on in the restaurant but we also have our tables on the terrace (under the parasols ⛱️⛱️⛱️) and in The Minories Courtyard (the ones under the arch are in the shade).

Our Tapas Menu, Greek salads and Hallumi burgers are proving particularly popular today washed down with a chilled beer or rose. Tonight our money is on Souvlaki and Salmon being the big hits.

The sun 😎😎😎coupled with the sound of Greek music 🎶🎶🎶and souvlaki’s on the grill ….. close your eyes and you could be in Greece….well almost!!!

And if you are one of the lucky ones with tickets for one of the hot things going on in town tonight ….

- the incredible Rhoda Dakar (goddess of 2 tone) in conversation at Rother Street Arts House ( opposite us)

- Shakers at The Attic Theatre

- Midsummers Night Dream at The Other Place

- The Morality of Mrs Dulska ( joint uk/ Polish production 🇵🇱🇵🇱🇵🇱) at The Bear Pit Theatre ( opposite us)

Too hot and bothered to cook tonight? Or maybe you’re still recovering from that football all nighter! Let us take the heat off and cook for you.

We are serving dinner until 9pm and have tables available inside or outside on the terrace or in The Minories Courtyard. The temperature has finally dropped and there is a lovely breeze so it is lovely out there. You really could be in Greece ….so you might as well eat like a Greek!

Popular dishes tonight already seem to be the great Greek classic of Moussaka served with Greek salad and oregano chips or Chicken Souvlaki (grilled) with salad and rice or new potatoes.

Followed by Greek yoghurt with honey and fruit or chilled lemon cheesecake with clotted cream ice cream.

But we have a whole lot more on offer to suit every taste and budget.

And to wash it down what about some cold beer or chilled wine?

Come down and we promise a great Greek welcome and amazing Greek food.

We still have tables available for lunch today (Sat) until 5pm - with tables inside, on the terrace and in the courtyard.

And breathe …. now we know Harry and the boys have secured a place in the next round of the World Cup we can all focus on other things for a few days.

Maybe come out for a quiet meal and catch up with friends and family…we are open from noon until 9pm as usual if that sounds like just the tonic for the day after the night before!

The sun is out again so our terrace and courtyard tables will be open for dining aswell as drinks.

But if you simply can’t cope without some more drama this evening (Thurs) why not couple a meal out with some great theatre or music.

Tonight sees the second opening night of the week in town with the Tread The Boards Theatre Company starting a 10 day run of Shakers: Under New Management - a witty portrait of night out antics - at The Attic Theatre. 🍹

Last night saw Second Thoughts Drama Company start a four day run of Terry Pratchett’s Guards! Guards! at The Bear Pit ( opposite us). 🐉

And although the main theatre is dark the RSC’s family friendly production of Midsummer Nights Dream continues at The Other Place.

But for many the highlight of tonight’s offer in town is The Blow Monkeys at Rother Street Arts House (opposite us) …household names in the 80’s (remember Dirty Dancing!).💃

So maybe boogy on over to us before any of these, and remember… “nobody puts Baby in the corner! “

Are you a dragon or a lion tonight?

Best wishes to our friends at Second Thoughts Drama Group who have their opening night of Terry Pratchett’s Guards! Guards! at The Bear Pit Theatre tonight (weds). Watch out for the fire-eating dragons 🐉🐉🐉

If you are lucky enough to have tickets for any of the performances from tonight through until Saturday don’t forget to pop over to us for something to eat or drink…. You will be guaranteed a warm welcome … with no dragons (except me of course 🤣)

But if it’s 3 lions 🦁🦁🦁you are supporting tonight ,rather than dragons, then you are also most welcome. We are open for pre and post match food and drinks until 9pm. Although we are not showing the match many of the pubs in town are so come and enjoy the atmosphere in town.
