This is oliver the proud reciever of the "Tigh Na Mara Belhaven golf day collection at the 2026 Ian Fisher memorial event held at Wigtownshire County.
Message from Oliver’s parents
Oliver is now 2 years old and what a 2 years it's been! After a normal pregnancy we ended up getting an emergency C section. Oliver had suffered oxygen starvation. We never thought we would get home. We spent 7 torturous weeks in hospital before beating the odds, and getting home. Oliver was diagnosed with "HIE" (catastrophic brain damage) and suffers from this in a multitude of ways. He has evolving bilateral cerebral palsy, limited swallow and, after his latest operation, he's now fed via a gastronomy button (no more tube!) , registered blind, hard of hearing (which is why he's seen at the Tig, the louder atmosphere is a fantastic stimulation for him!). Oliver has started to smile in the last year and it's fantastic (there may have been some chat gpt used to combine photos in order to get the one used in our post, though 😂) we as a family are extremely grateful for this and will never forget it! The help and support we have recieved from all at the Tigh Na Mara throughout his 2 years has been exceptional! We are proud to be part of such a kind and genuinely caring community 🩵
