TEA AND COFFEE HELP

Can anyone in our community spare any jars of instant coffee or tea bags. We want to keep our cafe service free of charge, but sometime we need topping up with our donations.

We would really appreciate any help. Please pop in to see us and drop off anything you can spare.

THANK YOU

A big thank you to Tesco and Lidl and the customers who donate to the donation points in store. Today we collected donations to help stock up our Foodbank and Community Larder.

Today we collected 42kg of donations from Tesco and 19kg from Lidl.

We can't thank you enough for everyone who donates. This helps us give back to the community through our services.

If anyone has any extra items they can spare, please drop them in to the cafe or the Tesco donation point. Long life items are best, including Cereal, Soup, Pasta, Rice, Tinned Veg, Lentils, beans, pulses, tinned meat, tinned fruit, biscuits, milk and juice.

A massive thank you to the team at Tesco for their incredible support, and an even bigger thank you to YOU—the amazing shoppers who drop items into the basket every week. Your generosity is the fuel that keeps our engine running.

By working alongside the Trussell Trust and FareShare, we are doubling down on our mission to tackle food insecurity in our community. This partnership allows us to provide two vital levels of support:

The Community Larder: A sustainable way for locals to access surplus food, reducing waste and stretching those weekly budgets.

Emergency Crisis Food Bank: Providing an essential lifeline and food parcels for those facing immediate hardship.

Next time you’re doing your big shop, please consider picking up an extra tin, packet, or toiletry item. Every single donation stays local and goes directly to a neighbour in need.

Together, we’re making sure no one in our community has to face an empty cupboard alone.

Just letting everyone know that we are open today and Easter Monday for our normal free cafe service.

Pop down for a free 3 course meal for anyone who needs our service. Today we have homemade Turnip Soup followed by wraps with rice and cold meats. Finishing with a fruit yoghurt.

100,000 MEALS!!

We have hit a truly massive milestone today at The FedUp Cafe, and it felt like fate that our dear friend and regular, George, was the one to help us cross the finish line.

Since opening our doors over 7 years ago, we have officially served our 100,000th meal.

At The FedUp Cafe, we are incredibly proud that every single one of those 100,000 meals has been served completely free of charge, fueled purely by community spirit, kindness, and the belief that good food belongs to everyone.

To mark this special occasion, we surprised George not just with his lunch, but with a special celebratory cake to thank him for being such a wonderful part of our cafe family! 🎂🎉

Thank you to George, and to every volunteer, donor, and supporter who has helped us fill 100,000 plates. Here is to the next 100,000!

We are currently looking for help in: 👨‍🍳 The Kitchen: Help prepare delicious meals. 🥦 Community Larder: Organize stock and help people get the food they need. ☕ Front of House: Welcome guests and serve with a smile.

Why volunteer with us? Not only will you meet great people and support your local community, but we also provide full training. You can even gain official certifications to add to your CV—perfect if you are looking to get back into work or start a career in hospitality!

FANCY A FREE COFFEE?

We have just introduced our loyalty cards for our Barista Coffee. Every time you buy a coffee you get a stamp. Collect 9 stamps and your 10th is free.

Our Barista Coffees are £2.00 each and are aimed to be affordable and to help raise funds for our cafe.

Our regular teas and coffees are still free for anyone in the cafe.

VERY PROUD 😁🤩

We are very proud when we had a visit from Emma Harper MSP in December when she popped in with a framed Motion that was put through parliament. This has taken pride of place on our wall and is so amazing that we have been recognised in parliament for the hard work that our staff and volunteers do every day.
