We're delighted to announce that our former Director of Faith - Laurina was ordained at the end of June, at Lichfield Cathedral. There was a fantastic turnout of support for her on the special day which she's worked so hard to achieve, alongside her work at Yarnfield Park. Amongst the congregation supporting Laurina were Yarnfield Park guests, Igo-Enaan and Ernest.
Ernest said, ‘I first met Laurina on a facility visit to Yarnfield Park for the NACFUK annual national conference. The environment and facilities were amazing and just what we wanted, but Laurina was exceptional. We met at the carpark, but little idea that that first meeting will metamorphose into a sustained connection. It was scheduled for no more than 20 minutes but lasted for nearly an hour. In that time, it was clear to see an honest heart, filled with the love of God and love for God and for all people. Her ordination was not a surprise but a confirmation of who she truly is. Our prayer is that the grace of God will cause her to exceed herself and expectations in her calling. Congratulations, Laurina.’
Laurina commented, ‘I'm now ordained as a deacon in The Church of England after an amazingly profound (and swelteringly hot) day in Lichfield Cathedral. I am very much looking forward to my curacy which will be in Wombourne and surrounds in the Smestow Vale Team. I am feeling very seen and loved as friends, family, colleagues and even a client celebrated with me.’
We wish Laurina all the very best for her future within the church, and thank her again for her hard work during her time with us at Yarnfield Park.
