And who better to kick off our Staff Spotlight than our lovely Head Housekeeper, Tui!

Tui has been part of The Upper House family right from the very beginning, and her dedication, hard work and care over the years have played such an important part in making our hotel the welcoming place it is today.

From the little finishing touches to making sure everything is just right for our guests, Tui and her team really are our unsung heroes!

We’re delighted to welcome back the brilliant Sara Adams from HSL Pottery for our Pumpkin Pottery Workshop, where you’ll be guided step-by-step as you sculpt your very own ceramic pumpkin!

No experience is needed and everything you need will be provided – just bring your creativity! ✨

It’s one of our favourite times of year at The Upper House – crisp mornings, changing leaves and all those gorgeous autumnal touches that make our gardens feel that little bit more special.

The changing seasons bring some of the most beautiful colours to our grounds, with rich autumnal tones creating the perfect backdrop for wedding photographs. Add in crisp autumn days, cosy evenings and maybe even a pumpkin or two, and October weddings really do have a magic all of their own!

We’d like to say a huge thank you to every couple who came along to visit us, explore the venue, meet our team and start imagining what their special day could look like here at The Upper House. It was such a pleasure chatting with you, hearing about your wedding plans and showing you around our beautiful venue ✨

A very special thank you also goes to all of the fantastic wedding suppliers who joined us and helped bring the day to life. We’re incredibly lucky to work alongside such talented and passionate people, and your time, creativity and support helped make the day such a success.
