Alex started Illusion at Club Metz (formally Time & Space) in 1999 with his lady Stacey. After Club Metz shut down, Illusion then moved onto The Void, Keele Uni, The Underground (now a rock club), Phillips Park, Creation (Hanley) & finally Zero. In 2004 he also ran weekly events at The Underground, using various names for these events before it became a rock club. Unfortunately in 2005 he decided to call it a day after the closer of Zero. However after a five year break Illusion is now back & Alex is promoting joint events with Fantazia.

Alex has MCed at many raves over the years including: Slammin' Vinyl, World Dance, Rewind (Vibealite), Fantasy Island, Entropy, Uproar & of course Illusion. He also used to run an artist management agency called Excell Management, dealing mainly with old skool artists, DJs & MCs
