Ok this post is gonna have a lot going on.
Strap yourselves in.
On the 3rd September ‘Nights out in the kitchen’ the latest book from arguably this countries most celebrated food critic Mr Jay Rayner is released. I’ve read most of it, it’s a triumph. Oh yeah, we’re also in it (!!!).
I wasn’t sure how to go about this, but then I started getting a lot of messages from people who watched Saturday kitchen yesterday, two recipes inspired by our restaurant, Little Dumpling King feature, there’s also a couple of pages about us and when Jay visited the restaurant a couple of years ago AND a beautiful image of the gaff that I can’t stop looking at.
NOW! If you want to buy a copy, we happen to have a brilliant independent bookshop Drop City Books located literally on the same street as us, they’ll sort you out, more on this to come next week I’m sure.
This is all very surreal, but this one’s for us Town, you might think I’m a prick, hate the food, but be fair, me and my team give absolutely everything, we care so much and I think I speak for all of them, past and present that we are all so proud and can’t wait for you to read it.
Get behind us, I promise I will push on till I physically no longer can.
Raise a glass to LDK, raise a glass to youse, the customers, raise a glass to bookshops, raise a glass to Mr Jay Rayner.
FILL UP MY BOOKINGS FOREVER PLEASE TOWN X
