Can I thank you all for your kind words? They really do mean a lot.

I’ve put some feelers out regarding the Parkwood, but unfortunately, I’ve had no response—positive or negative. I’m not even sure whether my emails or Facebook message have been seen.

If any of you frequent the Parkwood, perhaps you could mention that I’m available and would be interested in bringing the quiz there. A little word in the right ear might help!

It would be smashing if I could find another pub nearby so I could bring you all along and keep our Monday-night quiz going.

Are there any other nice locals close?

I am pleased to say that Rachel has paid the cash that was owed to me out of her own pocket.
That doesn't alter anything though. The brewery messed me about so I'm done here.

An Important Update for Fairfield Quiz-Goers

Hi everyone,

Today would normally be the day when I share your free quiz clues and tell you a little more about next week’s quiz at the Fairfield.

Sadly, I won’t be doing that this week—or in the future—as I will no longer be hosting the Monday-night quiz at the venue.

Without going into matters that are best kept private, the venue recently decided to change my payment arrangements. Unfortunately, this has resulted in me not receiving payment for the past three quizzes. I’m sure you will understand that this is not a situation I can accept or allow to continue, and I have therefore made the difficult decision to step away with immediate effect.

I have genuinely enjoyed my time at The Fairfield and will greatly miss all the teams and familiar faces who have supported the quiz. Thank you for your company, your humour and all the enjoyable Monday evenings we have shared.

With Monday evenings now available, I will be open to hosting a quiz at another venue. In the meantime, you can still find me every Wednesday at the Synthonia Club in Billingham, and every Thursday and Sunday at the Merlin, also in Billingham.
