The Duke of Wellington Inn is nestled in the Tyne Valleys village of Newton just off the A69 near Corbridge, within easy access to Newcastle, Hadrian's Wall Country, Hexham, and Northumberland's National Park. The décor reflects the traditional country inn history but with a modern twist. The existing oak and stone has been enhanced with modern colours, furniture and fabrics. Food is served seven

days a week in the dining room or in the bar area. The food provides traditional British comfort eating to an exceptional standard and makes use of local, seasonal ingredients. A comprehensive range of beers and ales compliments an extensive wine list. The inn experience continues with seven bedrooms consisting of 6 double rooms and 1 twin room, providing a very high quality of luxury accommodation. 2 of the double rooms are dog-friendly. The outstanding views across the Tyne valley provide the ultimate conclusion to a visit to The Duke of Wellington which will stay with you long after you leave.

🧠 Quiz Night is back at The Duke on Monday 20th July, and we'd love to see you there!

Gather a team of up to 6 people and join us from 7.30pm for an evening of friendly competition. Entry is £2 per person, which includes a supper (usually a burger and fries, with a vegetarian option available) 🍔

The quiz features six written rounds, plus a music round and a picture round that's available to complete throughout the evening. Then, if you're feeling lucky, stay for the Jackpot Question! For an extra £1, you'll have the chance to take home the growing jackpot 💰

Sporting Saturday is almost here!

Join us for an afternoon and evening of live sport, with Fiji v England kicking off at 2pm, followed by Norway v England in the FIFA World Cup Qualifier at 10pm. We'll be staying open until the final whistle.

Alongside our usual Saturday menus, we'll also be serving our Bar Snacks and Pinsa Pizza. Food service runs until 9pm, after which a special late-night snack menu will be available, displayed on the bar.

If you're planning to join us for either match, we'd recommend booking a table to guarantee a seat. Please book by telephone or email rather than online.

We look forward to welcoming you for a great day of sport, good food and a relaxed evening at The Duke.
