What an absolutely unforgettable night! 🌧️🍕🎶A massive thank you to the brilliant Adam for joining us in the yard and performing such an incredible set. Singing along to hits from the 1960s all the way to the present day was pure magic! To everyone from our village and the local community who came out—you are all the absolute best! The rain was throwing it down so heavy, but you still turned up, the show went ahead anyway, and then the skies cleared. We honestly had the absolute best time with you all. Outdoors, live music, fresh slices from The Hill Top Pizza Co right here at The Feathers Inn, and brilliant friends—it was a true memory-making moment. We are so incredibly grateful. Friends like these are everything! ❤️And to top it all off, that’s not even mentioning the football! ⚽🏆 What a night. We hope we can do it all again very soon! The ultimate summer evening lineup is ready for you tonight at The Hilltop Pizza Co! 🦪🍕You can find us tucked behind the stone wall at The Feathers, serving up our fresh, hand-rolled pizzas alongside some incredible weekend specials.⏰ We are open tonight from 5-8 Tonight’s fresh catches:✨ Lindisfarne Oysters – served with our own special recipe hot sauce and shallot vinegar.✨ North Shields Langoustines – served with our homemade mayonnaise and fresh lemon. The weather is absolutely beautiful, the pizzas are rolling, and the seafood is fresh. 🔥 6 YEARS OF THE YARD! 🔥Six years ago today, everything changed for us. Faced with the challenges of Covid-19, we had to think fast to keep our business going and our community together. That was the day we lit our fire pit for the very first time, turning our car park into the outdoor dining area you now know and love: The Yard (🏡✨). It was a survival plan. It allowed us to bring our incredible team back to work and, most importantly, welcome all of you back to the pub when we needed each other most. What started as a temporary solution became our greatest passion. Six years later, the fire pit is still our main form of cooking! We completely fell in love with the smoky, rich flavours you can only get when food is carefully cooked over an open flame. The Yard wouldn’t exist without some truly amazing people:Jona: The brilliant craftsman who hand-built our fire pit. His incredible talent is woven all through the pub, from our beautiful indoor tables to the fabulous timber shelter in the yard. Thank you, Jona, for everything you did for us then and now. Our Friends: Who rallied together during those tough times to build the rest of our outdoor furniture. What has unfolded over the last six years has been nothing short of brilliant. We genuinely have the best job in the world, and it is entirely down to having the best customers and the most dedicated staff. We are serving this up with vibrant purple sprouting broccoli and crispy, fried smashed potatoes—all cooked over a large open fire pit fueled by local hardwood and charcoal.
