Big news! We've been shortlisted in FOUR categories at the 2026 Stockport Business Awards, and we couldn't be prouder.

We're finalists for Business of the Year, Employer of the Year, Family Business of the Year, and Hospitality, Leisure & Retail Business of the Year.

Huge thanks to our brilliant teams across all five pubs - we tried to fit as many of you into this image as possible - this is down to you. Winners are announced on Thursday 8th October in a ceremony at the Pyramid - wish us luck!

They're down, safe and sound! 🪂

Our brave fundraisers from across Almond Family Pubs have all taken a leap of faith from 15,000 feet. All that it took was a full minute of free-falling, before parachuting to the earth, all in aid of FPWR UK - Foundation for Prader-Willi Research UK - with James and Doug Almond surprising them on the day to watch on.

Their efforts mean we've hit an incredible milestone, with over £200,000 raised for FPWR UK by our teams and customers since 2014. A truly amazing sum, that we're in awe of being able to reach. Wish us luck! 🪂

This morning (Monday 10th August) team members from across all Almond Family Pubs are taking our fundraising to new heights, quite literally. They'll be leaping out of a plane for Foundation for Prader-Willi Research UK as we look to break through a huge milestone in our total fundraising.

They're joining Black Knights Skydiving to freefall from 15,000 feet - the highest jump you can do - over Lancaster, and they'd love your support. FPWR UK is a charity close to all of our hearts, and together we're closing in on £200,000 raised over the past 15 years - with £3,000 or more raised tipping us over that landmark.

Happy to you and yours 🍻

We're celebrating International Beer Day the only know we know how: serving well kept ales, and perfectly poured lagers - which is what we do for the other 364 days of the year too.

The weekend starts here. Fizz Fridays just got even better: alongside 20% off fizz, our entire spritz menu is now part of the deal, all day, every Friday.

Did the revision, sat the exams - and now let us do the rest.

However this summer's results go, we reckon all that effort deserves a treat, so every student picking up their GCSE or A-Level results gets a free main meal on the day at any of our five Stockport pubs.

A-Level Results Day: Thursday 13th August

To claim the free meal, students simply need to show their results to a member of the team when ordering. One of the most valuable days of the year.

Earlier this week we invited members of our management teams from across all five Almond Family Pubs to a training day all about the nitty gritty of the commercial side of our business - before enjoying a well earned drink afterwards.

These annual sessions are incredibly important, especially given the headwinds facing our industry at the moment. Thanks again to the whole team for being so engaged, and to Robinsons Brewery for use of their Old Tom meeting room across the course of the day.
