HOOP 2026 EVENTS CALENDAR 🗓️

With so many events already booking up quickly (yes… even Christmas!), we thought we’d keep our events calendar here so you can easily see what’s coming up and pop the dates in your diary.

A quick update: Unfortunately, Matrix 59 are no longer able to perform on Friday 21st August due to illness. We wish Colin Fautley a very speedy recovery and would like to say a huge thank you to The Law for stepping in at short notice.

There’s so much to look forward to, including:
• Live Music in the Garden throughout July & August, every Friday from 7pm–9pm
• Our homemade sourdough pizzas every Friday Night – available to eat in or takeaway
• Flower workshops with Stock Florist
• Wine Matching Dinners with 🇬🇧 Paul Laurie | Essexwineman Lunch with Santa Lil’ Reds Children’s Entertainment

• Plus lots more exciting events still to come!

And of course, this October marks a very special milestone as Phil and I celebrate 20 years at The Hoop. We can’t wait to celebrate with you all.

We’re thrilled to welcome Suzanne Maddock (Suzanne Maddock) to The Hoop for a very special evening of live music!

Known to millions for her acclaimed roles in The Bill and Hetty Wainthropp Investigates, Suzanne also brings an incredible musical talent to the stage.

She showcases a rich, soulful vocal style shaped by her lifelong love of powerhouse artists such as Tina Turner, Shirley Bassey, Amy Winehouse and Doris Day.

Her performances blend classic influences with her own expressive delivery — earning praise for their warmth, authenticity and dramatic intensity. 🎶✨

We are closed Monday & Tuesday this week, but we’ll be back open on Wednesday and can’t wait to welcome you all back!

We’re delighted to welcome Chloe who will be performing live at The Hoop for the very first time!

Chloe is an Essex musician who delivers an incredible set of well-known covers, ranging from RnB and soul to disco and party classics.

She loves sharing her passion for music and putting smiles on people’s faces — and promises a brilliant set full of fun, feel-good vibes! 🎶✨

We are back open tomorrow and this week’s £10 special available Wednesday to Friday lunch is: Char Siu Pork Bun | Soft brioche bun filled with sticky Char Siu pork, crisp cucumber and crunchy Asian slaw.

➕Also don’t forget pizzas will be on this Friday evening available to order online for collection from 5pm.

➕We are really excited to welcome, Carly Hillman She will be singing from 7-9pm in our garden, drinkers are welcome to stand and enjoy the music and atmosphere.

A little something new on the bar… 🍺🇬🇧

If you know me, you’ll know I love finding products with a genuine story behind them, not just another name on a pump clip.

Last week I had the pleasure of meeting Jerry, one of the founders of Selection Lager, and after hearing the story behind it, I knew it was a beer I’d be proud to serve at The Hoop.

Founded by three former SAS Sergeant Majors, brewed with 100% British ingredients and supporting the SAS Regimental Association’s mental health charity, it’s a proper English lager with real heritage behind every pint.

With England in the World Cup, it seemed the perfect time to introduce another great British product to our bar. Not because of the football, but because I love supporting quality, British producers who genuinely care about what they create.

I hope you’ll pop in, give it a try, and let me know what you think.

If you know me, you’ll know I love finding products with a genuine story behind them, not just another name on a pump clip.
