Rolling in to the weekend!! 🏎️💨

This video sums up our week tbh 😂🥴

Abnormally quiet in parts, especially Saturday which was scarily quiet.

And then burst water pipe in Stewartby left us with no water today, leaving us no choice but to let A LOT of people down 😖

So sorry to those that were booked & couldn’t be fed or watered (excuse the pun, Brendan made me do it)

But it did mean we were able to start our weekend an hour or so earlier than normal 🥳

We’re Bec & Brendan…

Your TV news celebs and local café owners! (Just kidding.) 🤪

We’ve had a lot of new followers recently, probably because Universal Studios is planning to set up right on our doorstep. But hopefully it’s also because our regulars keep spreading the word about us. 🥰

What you see is what you get: a couple with no real clue how to run a business, doing our best to learn as we go and draw on every bit of experience we can in the hospitality industry to (hopefully) put a smile on our customers’ faces. 🤩

We work bloody hard, and we believe in great food and exceptional customer service.

So, that’s us in a nutshell. Thanks to everyone who’s started following us recently, and as always, thank you to those who’ve been on this journey with us from the start ❤️

Rainy Saturday, no one sitting outside, buzzing cafe inside, really calm, really chilled.

Sunday forecast for rain…until 11 o’clock ☀️

Always nice to see little things like this pop up… 🤩

As always, we really do appreciate everyone that comes through our doors. Without you, we couldn’t do what we do day in & day out.

Obviously we will be super busy when Universal get here (I mean they’re here getting a move on already) but we will do all we can to stay true to you guys - the people that have got us here in the first place.

We’re immensely proud of our customers, community & little cafe.

So yeah, thanks ☺️

And thanks to David from Bedford Today for shouting about us…means a lot to us two doughnuts that don’t have a clue what they’re doing 😂

Out of office is on! ☀️

We’re gonna take bank holiday Monday off after a huge & very very hot weekend 🥵

Thanks so much to those that came out during the heat. We hope you enjoyed your time with us, whether that was breakfast, lunch, pizza or BBQ.

And to our wonderful staff that kept up in the crazy heat ❤️

We even let Brendan have a pint on the job, because why not? Trying to convince him to BBQ for everyone at home tomorrow too 😂 🔥

That’s right, this Sunday, join us outside for a Kiln BBQ 😎

Stewartby Club beer festival continues, live music & Brendan’s on the barbie. We’re thinking burgers, jumbo hot dogs, pulled pork flatbreads & I think he even mentioned a Korean chicken burger 👀

BBQ breakfast rolls will be served 9-12. 🥓 🍳

Coffee, shakes, smoothies & cold drinks from the hatch as always.

No bookings needed, just rock up! 🤩

We currently have two full time positions available:
✔️ Front of House Team Member
✔️ Kitchen Assistant / Chef

This is an exciting opportunity to join an award-winning independent café as we continue to grow — especially with Universal Studios being developed locally and huge future potential for the area.

📍 Stewartby, Bedfordshire
🕣 Wednesday – Sunday | 8:30am – 4:30pm
💷 Pay dependent on age and experience

We’re looking for friendly, reliable, hardworking people who thrive in a busy environment and work well as part of a team.

Experience is essential for both roles.

Front of House applicants must:
- Be barista/coffee trained
- Have strong customer service skills
- Be confident taking orders and handling tills

Kitchen applicants must:
- Have previous kitchen/chef experience
- Be confident working in a fast-paced open kitchen
- Maintain high food hygiene standards

Applicants must be able to work the required days and hours.
